MainStay Suites Colorado Springs East - Medical Center Area

I had the opportunity to stay here from 7/17- 7–22.I never stayed in a hotel that the whole key system goes down and one person has to go all over the place opening doors. Someone should’ve fixed this problem cause people were still checking in. Why would you rent these rooms to cause all the inconvenience??

Excellent customer service, room was very clean. Light in kitchen was flickering when we arrived night 1. Advised staff the next morning and it was fixed while we were out and about. Bed was very comfortable. Large bathroom and plenty of towels. Only thing we did not like was the plastic couch. It was not the most comfortable and was loud when sat down on. Breakfast was good. We made waffles every morning we were there. Eggs were powdered, so we stayed away from those. Sausage was ok. The seasoned potatoes were excellent. Overall, a great experience for the price we paid. Would stay here again

My stay here was just what I needed when my husband was in the hospital for an extended period of time. The staff was warm, welcoming and always willing to work with me. I few more dishes in the kitchen, a dish towel and dish cloth would have been welcome. Breakfast was always well done and the woman providing the work for breakfast was always helpful and cheerful. Staff worked well to get my refund for unnecessary days that I had reserved. Thank you, was a perfect place to be!

First time staying here. When we arrived and checked in they gave us room keys for two rooms. Neither key worked. We returned to the front desk and they issued us new keys. One of the keys worked. But when I entered my room it was obvious someone was staying there already. Fortunately nobody was there when I walked in! I went back to the front desk and waited in line for a third time. I told the employee that someone was staying in the room they had assigned me. She seemed very confused and didn’t seem to know why. Eventually she asked another employee (the manager?) to help us. He headed to the room and went inside. After a few minutes he emerged and said, “I will have to investigate this!” And then he left. After several minutes he returned and said, “Simple solution. Wrong room.” And then he let us into another room. The entire process to check in probably took 45 minutes. None of the staff offered me any kind of comp. We explained how dangerous the situation could have been if we had walked in on someone unannounced. The hotel was new and nice, but the check in experience left a bad taste in our mouths. I don’t recommend this hotel because they put their guests in danger and don’t seem to care.
