What an amazing experience. We highly recommend this all inclusive lodge and Tortuguero National Park. Be prepared for rain if you go in the northern summer. There are a series of guided walks and activities as well as several optional ones. Three days including travel from elsewhere is sufficient.

Without doubt the location is 5/5. Where the property fails is with the communication provided by the people at reception. We received conflicting information on tour times and bookings that were simply messed up. This was not just a unique experience as other guests we spoke to were perplexed with what time to meet for tours, meeting locations and booking requirements. The accommodation was OK and the meals on offer were just passable. Were it not for our fabulous guide Elston, our experience would have been a total disappointment. Elston was knowledgeable about the fauna and flora and really exuded a passion for the incredible ecology of the area. For us it was unfortunate that we had a guide who did all he could to make the experience unforgettable while resort management either lacked the motivation or intuition to replicate the efforts of other staff.

Somos una pareja de españoles que pasamos en este hotel 3 días y queríamos destacar lo bonito que es y la magnífica atención del personal del hotel. Tiene una serie de senderos por los cuales verás muchas aves y animales. Es un sitio especial pareces que estás en mitad de la selva y su llegada en barco por los canales es muy bonita. La fruta aquí es espectacular. Así que para cualquiera que quiera visitar Tortuguero,le aconsejo que se quede en este hotel.

Outstanding lodge to experience CR nature...great location and very accommodating. They arrange your tours and transportation. Grounds are very nice. Meals very were very nice. Excellent value...but do not expect luxury! Just be prepared for an early morning rise...the howling monkeys are your alarm clock.

Fabulous setting in the heart of the secondary tropical forest. Lovely individual cabins on stilts with comfy bed, rocking chairs on the veranda and Howler Monkey alarm call! Catering was plentiful, tasty but basic and cafeteria style. Guides very knowledgeable and spoke fluent English for trips out on the water, to Tortuguero village, treks through the grounds and also up Tortuguero hill and it’s primary forest for a spectacular view. Lovely swimming pool to refresh and excellent cocktails!

Nous avons voyagé pendant 2 semaines au Costa Rica et l Aninga Lodge a été notre hôtel préféré! Les chambres sont magnifiques : on a l impression d être immergés dans la jungle. Le cadre est magique: nous avons pu voir des singes hurleurs, des toucans, des iguanes, un tatou et j en passe simplement en barbotant dans la jolie piscine! Et les cocktails étaient délicieux. Nous avions pris l option sans le transfert ni les excursions car cela nous a paru trop cher. Nous avons fait l excursion en bateau avec un guide français en dehors de l hôtel. L Aninga n est pas dans le village de Tortuguero ce qui lui permet d être dans un cadre privilégié. L hotel adjacent bénéficie d un chemin gratuit dans la jungle que vous pouvez emprunter.
