Baymont by Wyndham Latham Albany Airport

Musty, bad smelling carpets. The included breakfast was non existent. Desk not staffed for checkout. Not recommended

This hotel is impossible to call. Both the number online and the one on the hotel card that was given to us at the desk want a remote access code. What is that? When we tried to make a reservation we were bumped over to Reservation Desk. They booked the room but charged us $80 as "charges" without telling us. When we arrived at the hotel the person checking us in told us that we paid $80 too much. But he would not help us get our money back. The hotel itself wasn't bad. It was clean but needed repairs. The staff was helpful otherwise. They pleasantly got us to the airport at 4:15AM. We were able to park our car for $6 a day. Return our $80 and we'd bump our review up to 4 stars.

This is a very good Hotel, Excellent room, Good breakfast, walking distance to airport, staffs are very co-operative. One of the best hotel in area. shuttle is available 24/7 clean, quite location, Night 2am get a shuttle from airport. safe for women, very close to police security. Number one hotel in all respect

For your safety- DO NOT STAY HERE. This place was beyond filthy and disgusting. I booked here because of the airport shuttle, which when I called for pickup I was told we could not utilize because so many flights had been delayed. Ours was one of the delayed flights and I was traveling with my two sons, ages 3 and 1. We wound up checking in after midnight. The beds seemed okay and I got my kids to sleep, when I went in the bathroom I was HORRIFIED. Mold. Moths. Hair and grime from the previous guests. MOUSE POOP in the shower. This was 1:30 in the morning, we had no car to go anywhere else, my kids were asleep and I felt completely defeated. At 5am I went to the front desk to show them the conditions of the bathroom and was handed a bottle of spic n span to clean it myself. Two days after we left my one year old starting vomiting and having diarrhea. I filed a customer concern with Wyndham corporate. However, this is a franchised location and Wyndham corporate can’t/won’t do anything to hold them accountable. In an email response to my concern, the manager denied any of my findings were even real. I have been trying to reach this individual over the phone for a month and he won’t speak to me. The Albany county health department said they “knew the location well” when I called in. Seriously, this place needs to be shut down, it is a health hazard.

The beds and climate control were fine. I didn't use the shower. The continental breakfast did not exist, and checkout was just dropping the key in a bowl. I couldn't find a desk clerk to ask a question bat that time.

Upon arrival, it was disheartening to find that the hotel did not offer a shuttle service as expected. While I appreciate the personal effort of the desk attendant to provide transportation, this is not a substitute for professional hotel services. The condition of the rooms was, frankly, unacceptable. The lack of cleanliness suggested a severe neglect of maintenance, which is not only uninviting but also raises health concerns. I understand that cancellation policies are in place for a reason, but under such circumstances, I believe an exception should have been considered. The refusal to waive the cancellation fee added insult to injury, and as a result, I chose to seek accommodations elsewhere despite the financial loss. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive critique, prompting a review of your facilities and services. An improvement in these areas would greatly enhance the experience for future guests.
