I stayed here on my last day in Sri Lanka. I booked through Trip.com and got a great deal. First of all, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and although it was simple, it had everything I needed, and it was highly functional and stress-free. As a Japanese person, I never thought I would encounter a washlet overseas! I was so impressed lol. The shower pressure and temperature were great.
The rooftop infinity pool was also great, and although it was always windy, it felt great. I also went to the bar twice, once in the afternoon and once at night. There were a lot of intern staff at the front desk, so I had to wait for various things, but everyone was working hard. It was very easy because everyone from the front desk and service staff to the housekeeping staff could speak English without any problems. (It was difficult to communicate when I stayed in Trincomalee lol) I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Colombo! There is a supermarket close to the hotel, and if you look for it a little, you will find a local restaurant nearby. The dry sauna is only for men, and the women were steam saunas. It takes quite a while (probably about an hour?) to get the temperature up to where you can enter, as you have to turn it on when you enter. We didn't wait that long, but it's a great hotel!
