This hotel had a great location right in front of the ocean. We booked half board and the buffet was very plentiful, both for dinner and breakfast. The building was prestigious and had a historical feel to it. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
My only disappointment was that the gym was too small for the size of the hotel (only 3 running machines).

We had a pleasant stay in Galle Face Hotel. The room is beautiful and comfortable. Sufficient A/C and the room is clean. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly during the check in process.
The breakfast buffet is brilliant - wide range of selections and tasty. Overall it's a good value of money.

This is a very old hotel, so the hardware is really not up to date. The wooden furniture smells very musty because it is by the sea. The room on the first floor gives people a feeling of being underground. Although there is a swimming pool and sea view outside, the carpet that has been used for decades really can't add points to the environment. Instead, it looks very old. Maybe I booked the cheapest room, so the location is very bad. The cleaning staff even left a lot of personal belongings in the room 🙃, which was used as a half storage room. .
The breakfast was very good, with many local characteristics. It is recommended to add it when booking. It costs 4300 rs/person if bought separately.
The swimming pool is very good, 25 meters, and it feels very clean, but it is a salt water pool

The hotel is on a nice location and victorian style heritage hotel. But it is dated and needs a major renovation. Rooms and facilities are tired. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

A hotel with history: pompous, lots of wood in the interior. Delicious breakfasts. There is a buffet for dinner at a price of 6000 rupees. Some rooms with a balcony, very beautiful sunsets. There is a fairly large new shopping center nearby. The history of the hotel is both pros and cons: wooden floors creak a lot. Uncomfortable furniture, a bathtub like a monument in the middle of the room. Noisy air conditioning. And if the dates fall on Friday-Saturday, the hotel will celebrate birthdays and weddings.
