Room service was so poor. Because they haven’t provided Toothpaste and Toothbrush. After 2 days had requested them to provide. Even they provided only one day. Rest another they hadn’t provided new one. Even they haven’t provide sleeper. Others are fine.

You get what you pay for and what’s stated. The location is very good, there’s a local supermarket around the corner for supplies. My only issue is, there were urine stains on my toilet seat - I cleaned it myself, how it got there I do not know. Also the service attitude of one of the receptionist (her name is Madhu) left a sour taste for me - I changed my plans and reduced my stay, she demanded that I cannot do that and I cannot leave - without listening to me about the refund which had already been issued. Her peers were much friendlier.
The staff for breakfast were super accommodating and nice, also the two ladies in the cafe downstairs.

It was a very convenient location.
The train station was a 10-minute walk away, the supermarket was a 3-minute walk away, and Colombo's tourist attractions were easily accessible by catching buses 145 and 138 from the nearby bus stop.
The hotel staff were also extremely friendly and made me feel at ease. There was also staff at the hotel entrance, so it felt safe.

1. The big bed is made of two small windows
2. The air conditioner follows the sun and only starts cooling when the sun sets. It is very hot during the day and it was not fixed even after I asked for it
3. The room is shabby as a whole, like living in a tomb, which is a huge contrast to the domineering hotel appearance and lobby

The hotel reception look stylish. The shower door was dirty. The service was okay. I'm disappointed that they don't have curry on their restaurant menu. The location of the hotel is good.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied! This is a 200-year-old hotel. I heard that the Queen of England has also stayed in the hotel. It is well managed! Although the wine is a bit old. I am generally satisfied. The only drawback is that there is a window above the door, and the light from the corridor will penetrate into the room at night.
