Manipati Hotel in Colombo, an old house built in 1906, was once the private residence of the Correa family. Stepping into the hotel, it feels like traveling through time and space, and deeply appreciates the texture polished by time. The hotel cleverly retains the original colonial architectural details and historical and cultural atmosphere. The hotel has only a few rooms, and my room was unexpectedly upgraded with a small garden. A chair and a small coffee table in the corner became a good place for me to read. In the morning, squirrels jumped between the trees, green parrots played on the white walls, and I enjoyed a quiet time in the swimming pool in front of the door. Thank you!

What a gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Colombo. You enter the stunning hotel into a beautifully furnished lobby lounge area. Stunning dining room off to one side. I'd love to have eaten there. Beautiful tranquil courtyard with small, welcoming swimming pool with loungers on one side. Lovely helpful staff and delicious food served in a dining area off the courtyard. The rooms were gorgeous and also just off the courtyard. Beautiful sumptuous beds, tastefully decorated room, thoughtfully stocked mini fridge, quality linen and mosquito net, good lighting and quirky, partially outdoor, bathroom divided into three sections (almost like a stable block with wooden separators between the shower, basin and loo). Just a great amount of detail. A perfect place to end our Sri Lanka holiday. Ended on a high note. An oasis of calm!

The hotel is away from the busy centre of Colombo in a more residential district. All the rooms are immaculately fitted with furniture to match the colonial style of the house, although the bathrooms are modern and clean. Beds are very comfortable. The Ultra Suites on the upper floor have balconies. The restaurant menu is cosmopolitan and the food is excellent. Colombo does not have much for tourists, but if you go there this is the place to stay!

Dieses Boutique Hotel kann ich wärmstens empfehlen! Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, was an der überragenden Freundlichkeit und Servicebereitschaft des gesamten Personals liegt. Die kleine Anlage ist sehr stilvoll gestaltet und lässt überall die reiche Geschichte des Gebäudes und seiner Bewohner erkennen. Das Hotel ist stilistisch stringent gestaltet und sehr stimmungsvoll.. Unser Zimmer war sehr gut geschnitten, bot ein komfortables Bett und angenehme Wäsche, gute Klimatisierung und ein großzügiges Outdoor Bad in einem nicht einsehbar Patio. An beiden Abenden haben wir unser Dinner im lauschigen Atrium Garten auf der Terrasse genossen. Die Speisen, wie auch das Frühstück waren köstlich. Wir fühlten uns rundum verwöhnt und umsorgt!

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet excellent hôtel situé dans le quartier des ambassades de Colombo. Ancienne bâtisse coloniale très bien conservée avec seulement 7 chambres, très spatiales et bien décorée en ce qui nous concerne. La qualité du service est remarquable, tout le staff est très serviable et agréable. Literie confortable, douche et baignoire dans la salle de bains. Petite piscine, ce n’est pas le principal atout du lieu mais c’est agréable quand même ! Petit déjeuner au top, nous n’avons pas dîné sur place.

We like small hotels because they are far from the huge conformist brands you find all over the world. This hotel, only 7 rooms was previously a residence and has been turned into the most fabulous hideaway. Our room, Cynthia, was on the first floor and was exactly what we wanted. It has traditional decor but with modern amenities. So often in Asia ‘traditional’ means tired - far from it at Maniumpathy, here it felt neat, contemporary and supremely comfortable whilst also being immaculate. The minibar was also free! The food was excellent and pretty much any tastes can be accommodated. As other reviews state the Thali is a great start. Drinks are reasonably priced and the ambience is perfect. Levels of service beat many 5 star hotels and nothing is too much trouble. Because it is small and I think offers its services as a restaurant to non residents the tiny restaurant can fill up but this was never problematic to us. Our room was one of the closest to the restaurant and whilst not a problem to us as we sleep well, lighter sleepers might wish to request a different room. We would definitely come back!

Our second time at this beautiful, tranquil haven - this time with the family to celebrate special family events. Well appointed comfortable rooms, friendly staff and wonderful food. This is an exquisite house lovingly restored with great attention to detail. It reeks of old world charm with service to match. Couldn’t have chosen better
