Review of Cinnamon Red Hotel, Colombo I stayed at Cinnamon Red Hotel in Colombo from 14th to 18th August, and overall, it was a wonderful experience that combined comfort, convenience, and modern design. Location The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Colombo, making it easy to get around the city. Many attractions, shops, and cultural landmarks are just a short drive away, which made exploring stress-free. Rooms & Comfort The room was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with a stylish, modern touch. The bed was very comfortable, and the large windows offered an excellent view of the city skyline. It was a relaxing space to return to after a day out. Service The staff were welcoming, efficient, and attentive. From check-in to check-out, everything was handled smoothly, and any requests were quickly taken care of with professionalism. Overall Experience Cinnamon Red is a stylish and modern hotel that offers excellent value. It delivers the quality and comfort of a premium stay while keeping things relaxed and accessible. Great rooftop pool, even with construction happening in the view. The food was good, but we were surprised to find out that it was a dry hotel - no alcohol. Should be said in the listing. We loved the location and the room was very nice.

This hotel had a great location right in front of the ocean. We booked half board and the buffet was very plentiful, both for dinner and breakfast. The building was prestigious and had a historical feel to it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only disappointment was that the gym was too small for the size of the hotel (only 3 running machines).

Our apartment was nice, bedsheets were clean and rooms are spacious. However, the rooms had strong smell of cigarettes during our stay.

The location is next to the main street, so there is some noise. Our room is on the first floor and has a musty smell. It got better after opening the window for ventilation for a while. The bed sheets were a little damp. The two single beds were quite narrow. I feel the price/performance ratio is average, and it is a level lower than the Granbell Hotel where I stayed yesterday.

The room is a little bit small, but unfortunately there is no room in the courtyard.

The hotel is quite clean, there is a swimming pool, there was no refrigerator in the room, the food in the restaurant is not very suitable for Russians, they cook unusually and not tasty. The food in the restaurants of Unyvatuna was much better. The location is very good. If you have not been to Colombo before, I highly recommend taking a tour from a tuk tuk driver, they offer tours at the hotels. You can negotiate for 4000 rupees. He will briefly tell you in English and drive around Colombo for 3 or 4 hours. We saw all the main sights and the driver waited at the temples and museums. Despite the fact that at the resorts they offer to pay for a tour of the same places, but with a Russian guide for 100 dollars per person. The price is not justified.

The hotel’s location is excellent, offering beautiful views of the ocean and easy access to the city’s main attractions. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.
