Hotel Viktoria

We just felt at home all around. First of all, the staff greeted us very friendly at the entrance and then we were simply blown away by the historic appearance of the property. The hotel was apparently previously a music museum and is a historic building from the Art Nouveau period. You can find elements from past eras everywhere and that is what makes the hotel so unique. We also really liked the ceiling painting in the foyer. The breakfast buffet had everything you could need: from yoghurt, muesli, rolls to coffee, etc. Everything was great. We stayed in the suite and were in town to visit family and friends. Everything is within walking distance. The Rhine is practically right outside the door and we were able to reach the old town in about 15 minutes in a very relaxed manner along the promenade. The Musical Dome or Cologne Cathedral are just as quick to get to. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Small hotel located 8 minutes from the center by metro, in a very quiet area and a 10-minute walk from the Cologne Zoo. It has a very small parking lot, but there are paid spaces available on the street, although it is currently under construction and it is difficult to park. The hotel is a bit old, with stairs at the entrance and access stairs to the first floors of rooms, as well as stairs to go down to breakfast. However, the reception workers, both very friendly, both the man in the afternoon and the woman in the morning shift, kindly offered to help me with my luggage. The room is very good, clean and comfortable. The temperature is pleasant and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is abundant, with very good pastries and cookies, as well as jams and nuts. A freshly squeezed natural juice machine is missing. I would give a lot of value to breakfast. Super friendly and nice staff. They helped me with their directions to get to the center, the zoo, and walk around the area. Recommended 100x100 We will return for sure.

The three points are for the very beautiful building, the friendly reception, the clean room, the quiet location but still close to the center! The bathroom was tiny; the breakfast room was not big enough for the number of guests and very cramped. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not worth the money - a real shame.

Superb hotel with character. Quiet, easy to access and close to the old town. You can follow the Rhine which is nearby. Impeccable cleanliness, very good breakfast, very good bedding. The people I dealt with were delightful.
