Quality Inn Near Martinsville Speedway

Room is clean, bed is nice, housekeeping is on point, BUT the WiFi is out. It's been out for a week, from what I understand, and no clue when, or if, it will be fixed.

This is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I would give it zero stars if I could. I’ll start with a positive. The girl working the front desk was really nice and very apologetic. Now for the bad stuff. The furniture in the whole hotel was very dated and not in the best shape. The elevator vibrated and screeched and made a grinding noise as it arrived at the second floor. We got in the room and the first thing we noticed was the broken closet door. We put the bag on the bed and noticed stains on the comforter and then noticed the fitted sheet had cigarette burns. I called the front desk and was told they don’t have any replacement king comforters but they could give us a replacement fitted sheet. Fine, whatever. As we pulled the bedding back to take off the fitted sheet, we noticed more stains on the underside of the comforter. Once we took off the fitted sheet there was a bloodstain about 4” in diameter on the under pad. At this point I took all the sheets to the front desk. When I got to the front desk my wife called me because the comforter and pillow for the pull out bed both had big yellow stains. As the girl at the front desk was there alone I asked if she could call the manager. The manager had nothing to offer except a new room, but not one with the king bed our room had so she offered a refund which I gladly accepted. When asked why they didn’t have any replacement king linens I got two different BS answers, neither of which was acceptable. How do you not have spare linen in a HOTEL?! But wait, there’s more! One of the lamp shades was stained and it looked like there were boogers on it. We lifted the cushion of one of the chairs and there was at least a handful of some kind of condiment wrappers. The garbage can had unknown brown stuff crusted on the bottom, and there was dried food on the front of the oven door. The tile in the kitchenette was also sticky. 0/10 would not recommend, don’t know if I ever want to stay a Choice Hotel branded property ever again at this point.

The property is nice and close to race track and gas and food

Place seemed very unkept on the outside and run down on the inside . It had a slight Oder as if it had sat for years unkept . The hairdryer that was plugged in looked as if you dare turn it on you could get shocked or maybe start a fire . I had to ask a cleaning lady to come into the room a clean the bathroom door and the wall on the side of the door because there was what seemed to be a soda or something sticky that had exploded against them . Ceiling in the bathroom appeared to have mold on it . The room itself was ok but after seeing the stuff for mentioned it made us very uncomfortable staying. For the amount of money charged for staying I sure expected a little more from the experience. If you gonna raise your rates for a weekend event at least make sure you’re at least giving the Guest a clean and comfortable place to come to . Absolutely would never come back to this place or probably any quality inn

I loved the people! Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to be helpful. Check in was easy and because we were there this trip for a funeral they got us into one of our rooms early so we could freshen up and change clothes before the service. They were very understanding and kind. Darrel was extremely helpful, he understood my husband was having health problems and could not walk long distances so he assigned us rooms near an exit we could park close to. We appreciate everything they did for us.

Room was very dirty, stains on the walls and floors, bath tub not clean, remote didn’t work and felt like i needed a full shower after touching it. The smell was horrible walking into the hotel and when worse in the room.
