Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway

Nice hotel

I have to say it's very very disappointing during the latest stay at Mariott Atlanta Airport Gateway. My wife stayed through 13-15Oct. She placed her jade bracelet on bedside table and forgot to carry with her to dinner for several hours on 14Oct late afternoon. The jade bracelet was never found again after that. Hotel gave a plain answer to her inquiry simply saying it could not be found, although it certainly could do some investigation on room access or CCTV record. Besides the financial loss, it's a priceless gift from old parents. The result, security concern, and the hotel's reaction are so so disappointing.

Stayed here due to easy access with sky train. Its not. You need a bus from the terminal to the sky train. The hotel looks ok but dated. Beds are uncomfortable and pillows are awful. The shower is the best thing. At in champions bar. Service is awful and the waitress and waiter really did not want to be there. Almost threw the food down infant of my son. For a country where service and tipping is high on the agenda this goes in the opposite direction. Very poor all round

I wanted to give three employees high praise at this wonderful property. Patis and Mohamed greeted us with a smile at check-in. Many do not realize how important a smile and a warm greeting is in the hospitality industry. These two gentlemen were fantastic! Additionally, there was a male employee at the Champion Restaurant inside of this hotel. I hated I forgot to get his name. I think he was the bartender. The date was the evening of Sunday, July 6, 2025: His level of cleanliness in washing his hands before serving food and drinks was worthy of imitation. I wish I could give this property 10 stars!!!!

One of the best located hotels for Atlanta airport, where you can connect directly to the domestic terminal via the Sky Train (it's basically one stop on the Sky Train from the domestic terminal to the GICC, and then a short covered walkway to the hotel). If you are arriving at the international terminal, as we were, then you first need to catch the complimentary shuttle bus to the domestic terminal. Our room was fine albeit there were no luxury amenities such as robes or slippers. Service was also a little off-key, e.g. when we found that there was no TV remote, we attempted to call reception a few times but there was no answer. We had to physically visit the reception staff in order to arrange for a new remote to be delivered (which took ages). There's an Executive Lounge on the 7th floor but apart from the bottled water there was little to get excited about. In the morning, the lounge provided a continental breakfast which we found adequate. The hotel also has a small indoor pool and gym on the 2nd floor, plus a seasonal outdoor pool. If you need to be close to Atlanta airport and the price is right, then this is a good choice for an airport hotel.

Service was slightly above average but to my dismay you had to request room service. The most appealing aspect of this place is two things. One is there’s an airport train that takes you directly to this hotel & I’m talking less than 5 minutes. Secondly despite being literally across from the runway you can’t hear a single thing which really impressed me. Because of its proximity to the airport & several convention centers it’ll probably be busy but for the price this place served its purpose & was convenient to say the least
