A classic English country inn, the breakfast is hearty and delicious, featuring a typical English breakfast. Facilities: This century-old stone house houses a restaurant and bar downstairs, and guest rooms upstairs. Located near the road, it can be a bit noisy.

A wonderful stay in a fantastic pub with rooms. Excellent food and great cask ale, comfy bed and a fantastic shower. The best part of the stay, though, were the people. All friendly, all helpful, from the team to the regulars. I felt welcomed, like I was part of the village, from start to finish. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Dropped in for lunch. Offered a table by the fireplace near two settees. Perfect. Until a group of three came and demanded my husband move from his seat to get to an unlaid table next to us. They could have easily walked around the settee but decided the elderly lady with them couldn't walk the extra six feet so disturbed us instead. Then proceeded to dominate what was a quiet space. Customer service was ok but not good. Food was ok but very expensive for what was on the plate. Portions small especially desert which were minute ( cheesecake was about 1 inch diameter). Whole experience poor.

2 night stay as a little getaway. On arrival first impressions beautiful building with the old world.charm.of the cotswolds . Checked.in room seemed OK, bathroom had some mold in the grouting and there were some cobwebs between the furniture. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and the noise from the room above kept us awake through the night , every time they used the bathroom the floorboards creaked terribly. The evening meal on the first night was very disappointing, Quiche luke warm, potatoes ( meant to be buttered new) were rock hard and just 5 small halves. Salad was non existant , could literally have been served in an egg cup. Coleslaw.the same. . We had to request shower gel refill, and the bath mat we put in bath for taking away was rehung over bath to use again which was clearly dirty. 1st Breakfast was also very disappointing, not hot, Sausage poor quality, 2nd breakfast chose just poached eggs on toast, came with 2 eggs 1 piece of toast, eggs undercooked ,taken away and presumably microwaved along with the toast which was then like concrete. Sadly wouldn't. Return to this pretty little place. Could be so much better.. .

We went for Sunday lunch and despite being fully booked the service was great. Unhurried but efficient. Staff were very friendly, and on the ball. The food didn’t disappoint, we each enjoyed our meal. Lovely chicken roast, great burger, interesting starters and vegetarian food. In fact, we’ve been numerous times and always enjoy it.

Really excellent stay. Me and my best friend stayed here for a night and the room was great. It had everything you needed, the roll top bath was gorgeous, and we slept really well. Could not recommend it enough. Breakfast included was great. There was a really lovely member of staff (we didn’t get her name but she was blonde) she checked us in and served us breakfast. She was super helpful and accommodating - thank you ☺️

My husband and I took our first trip to England recently and had the pleasure of staying at this charming Inn. The room was very nice, spacious, clean uncomfortable. The staff cannot do enough to make you feel welcome. The pub is just how I pictured a warm cosy pub to be. The food we ordered was delicious, and the dessert was divine! I had a medical/prescription issue while I was there and they helped me so much to sort out getting in touch with a doctor. They sat us down and brought us a pot of tea and let us stay until we got things sorted. The girls (Jenny and Lisa, I think) treated us like family. I would love to come back again someday! Thank you for making wonderful memories for us!
