Expensive park at busy times of the year. WiFi service is poor, but the park manager said it would be due to the trees. Good shower pressure, but no dry area so your stuff will get wet. Didn't check out the camp kitchen.

We stayed in a 2BR holiday unit that was spacious and looked clean, if a bit more rustic than expected from photos. Unfortunately there was an odor to the place, faintly smelling of urine. We were also surprised to discover all the cleaning rules that weren't disclosed prior to arrival. For example, you were expected to wash, dry, and put away all dishware; wipe down surfaces; and take out all garbage. If guests are expected to do chores as part of their stay, that should be made clear beforehand but, really, this shouldn't be an expectation at all given the fees being paid for the stay. Suffice to say that this place just wasn't for us so we checked out a day early, ate the non-refundable charges for the second night, and paid to stay elsewhere.

Wir hatten ein grossräumiges Chalet mit zwei Schlafzimmern, ein Wohnzimmer mit zwei Sofas und einem Tisch mit vier Stühlen, eine grosse Küche mit allem notwendigen Geschirr und Küchenutensilien und einem Badezimmer mit Wärmelampe. Zudem hatten wir einen gedeckten Parkplatz neben dem Eingang und eine Terrasse mit Tisch und vier Stühlen. Dem entsprechenden war der Preis angemessen.

Great central spot. Clean, warm and convenient. Lovely couple running the park with heaps of tips for the area. Walking distance to beach, tavern and coffee shop. Cabin was a good size for just us, would be a little cozy for 6, but for just us we spread out. Heater in bathroom was great. Was a bit of a tight squeeze in the bathroom. Lovely deck area. And car spot was right next to front door

Didn't arrive there until 5.45pm after a day of walking Wineglass Bay lookout and walk to the beach, the reception closed at 6pm but they can leave the key in letterbox after hours. The male staff member who greeted me was lovely, told me spots to go to for the sunset which I hadn't thought of. The cabin was wonderful, clean, spacious, shower was great, heat pump heated the room well, bed was firm, and the pillows were soft and enough support for me. The staff had actually upgraded me, thankyou so much, and the picture looks like the cabin I stayed in , Cabin 157. I walked to the pub Iluka Tavern for Dinner close by, next morning had breakfast close by at Granite after checking out, I drove there. Would definitely stay again!!.

LOCATION On the Esplanade, just as you enter Coles Bay, on the way into Freycinet National Park. For non-Australians, Big 4 is basically a campsite, with a minimal number of permanent chalets, plus various facilities. ROOM We had an open plan studio room which although quite small and basic, included a double bed, a kitchen and sitting area, and a balcony with seating. The cabin included a kettle, microwave, a fridge, and an iron and ironing board. FACILITIES The campsite provides a laundry, with multiple coin operated machines, which we used and found really good. The site also has a grocery shop, a petrol station (expensive), and most importantly, the Iluka tavern & bar that serves pretty decent evening meals, although it was a bit like a school dining hall. There is also a café that does a nice breakfast, although that didn’t appear to be open every day. WIFI and TV reception were poor, but with the surrounding scenery to enjoy, who cares! Despite this being a camp site over a bank holiday, I couldn’t believe how quiet the site was after dark, and how considerate our fellow guests were for others. Well done Aussies. STAFF The lady in reception was absolutely lovely, and the restaurant staff were attentive and polite.

Stayed in Cabin #9 for 4 nights. Very comfortable with great beds, open plan with full cooking facilities, great showers, heating, balcony with outdoor setting, undercover carport all set amoung leafy gardens. Close to, or next door to some V good eateries, supermarket, fuel plus stunning walks and views of beautiful Coles Bay. Great base to visit local wineries, Wineglass Bay, tour boats etc. A must place to stay in Tassie, and we will certainly return
