We really enjoyed our stay here with our school-age child. Rooms were lovely, beds and bedding were comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. We’d stay here again and recommend to everyone we know. We left too early to get what smelled like a delicious sit-down breakfast, but the owner so helpfully made us to-go breakfast bags.

Country Encounters was definitely a pleasant surprise. Dawn was very casual, easy going and a delight to chat with. Her home is filled with interesting, beautiful antiques and books and all that you can imagine would be in a heritage home. There was what I would call a drawing room for family to meet and have a drink and snacks which was very special. Rooms were very clean and comfy. Breakfast was served in the lovely dining room and was plentiful and delicious. The website needs updating so you may want to call Dawn to see what is available at that time. We will stay the again on our way through Coleman.

A great place to stay with lots of character. We had a reasonably priced suite with antiques, fireplace right on the mainstreet of Coleman’s Historic District. We had dinner at tje associated Encounters Wine Bar & Small Plate Kitchen across the street and my Thai Green Curry was excellent. Service was great and price ($65 witth drinks for two) was reasonable.

Our favourite B&B of all time! Dawn and Mark are wonderful hosts. Dawn is a gourmet chef so not only did we get amazing breakfasts, she also cooked us phenomenal dinners. The rooms are large and immaculate, with super comfy beds. Highly recommend this B&B in the spectacular Crowsnest Pass.

We booked the stay without knowing anything out the place. Our expectations were wildly exceeded. when we showed up, the lady at the desk made us feel welcome and showed us around and told us a great story about how the place came to be. The room was or seemed to be newly refinished. Furniture in the room was from the period of the history of the town and in great condition. The stay was a pleasure in all ways.

We enjoyed an overnight stay in this hotel. The antiques and decor were charming and comfortable. Lots of effort by the owners to make our stay comfortable. Do be aware that the area has a staffing shortage and food can be difficult to find as many restaurants cannot meet the demand.

On s'est arrêtés à Coleman sur notre route vers le lac waterton. L'extérieur paraît simple mais dès qu on entre, on change d'avis. L'accueil est très chaleureux. On nous a donné de précieux conseils. Nous avons tout de suite senti la bonne odeur des cookies maison en libre service. Ils étaient tout bonnement excellents ! Nos chambres étaient propres, spacieuses et très bien décorées. On a eu un peu chaud. Nous avons pu prendre l'apéritif du soir sur une terrasse ensoleillée. Avant de repartir, nous avons pris un excellent petit déjeuner avec des fruits frais, du bacon, des oeufs brouillés, du jus d'oranges pressées. En prime nous avons demandé un pique-nique pour le midi. C'est une très belle découverte ! Nous sommes heureux de nous être arrêtés ici!

We stayed here recently and really enjoyed our stay! The owner Dawn is such a nice person and a great host. She makes a wonderful hot breakfast. She has been running this business for years and certainly knows how to do it properly. Her staff are also exceptional and very friendly. Our room was quite large, very clean, comfortable and had a king bed with good mattress. WIFI available and lots of cable channels. Bathroom was very nice. A lot of thought and attention has been given when these rooms were decorated and furnished. We will without a doubt be staying here next time we are in area. A bonus was the restaurant in the newer building - see my separate review on this also very fine business. Thanks Dawn & staff for a wonderful stay!!

I made my reservations for a 4 night stay at Country Encounters through Air B&B. I have never been to Crows Nest Pass area before and was excited to see some new sights. Our Host Dawn was phenomenal at taking care of us! Our room was exceptional and the breakfasts we were served every morning was freshly cooked/prepared by our Chef Dawn within speaking distance of our table. The fare would consist of fresh fruit, yogurt, and a carb side to be followed with an egg dish and home made cured meats of the highest quality with a carafe of orange juice and a thermos of coffee to wash it all down. We loved our stay so much we stayed an extra night. I can not say enough about Country Encounters B&B, it is one of those unexpected jewels you rarely find when travelling!
