Side Star Resort Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive

Visiting for the second time , we had a very good holiday but do feel the offering wasn’t as good as the same time last year, most notably the lack of food options in the pool bar especially the kfc style chicken not available which we found very disappointing. The food which was available in the main restaurant was good although again not as much choice as previous visit, we stayed in a jacuzzi family room and to be completely honest we found the standard family room last year much better when travelling with children, the jacuzzi didn’t work and leaked on arrival which was sorted by the hotel quickly. The hotel is immaculate and cleaned rigorously daily. The entertainment team were fantastic as were all of the other hotel staff , we found service this year was much better than last year. The drinks choices are very good and bar is 24h. The hotels location is quite remote but we love it and side /Manavgat is only a short dolmus trip away. Local shops and bars are a short walk. Overall a good holiday but slightly disappointed in the pool bar food choices. On a side note there are lots of German football teams staying in the hotel and they are very respectful and not an issue at all however a team of Russian children arrived with minimal supervision and ran riot , fighting and causing a nuisance , this really wasn’t the hotels fault but they should have maybe told the children’s guardians that this wasn’t acceptable as it really did spoil the hotel for a lot of guests and we heard many people upset with them. Will we return ? Quite probably and good value for money.

We visited in February 2025. My review is based on paying £1600 for a family of 4 which was great value Positives - Lovely and clean hotel - Rooms were great, I only experienced the 2 bedroom family room. Mini bar was filled every day with branded soft drinks and beer - Drinks were good. Cocktails good, branded spirits such as absolut, baileys, JD, Jim beam etc and no issue getting them. - Pool area very nice although freezing at this time of year. - Kids club was quite basic but the kids loved playing on the park most days which was good. The animation team in the club were really good with the kids - 7 day stays you get to visit all 3 a la cartes (Thai, Turkish and Mexican) all 3 were really good as well (book as soon as you get there) - Snack bar at lunch time was good by the pool lots of different choices - The kids arcade felt like decent value. You pay by card and the most expensive card at 100 euros got you 120 goes which lasted the kids all week (x4 kids) - short walk to shops which were good value - beach area closed off as too early in the season but the bar area down there looked very nice Negatives - If the weather is poor which it was for much of our break there isn’t loads to do. The indoor pool is tiny and they don’t allow kids to play and jump in as it’s a spa. They need to allow a kids time especially when poor weather - 3 or 4 of the waiting staff were just rude. Definite favourability of the German guests. - The food in the 24/7 snack bar was poor. A very minimal Choice. - Evening entertainment was hit and miss. When it was good it was done well but they need to just do a bit more. Lots of football teams in the hotel (who were absolutely no bother) which make for a good atmosphere however they need to just play more party music

Been to a lot of various hotels around the world and experience 2* and 5* plus. This is .. at best, a 3* hotel. Service is non existent. We've brought plenty of cash for tips and there's just no one around wanting to take it. The 'premium' drinks and regularly not available (Jonnie Walker). Just, generally.. a 3 star. At a push. And if you venture out of the hotel .. think, Inbetweeners. Needs a complete refurb. Everything is old and tired. Pool towels not changed yet (4 days in). Yes, lots of football teams here and they are, in general,very respectful and not a nuisance you might expect. It's just the poor poor service I don't expect in even a 4* resort. Food isn't great either. It's edible, lots of turkey and chicken. No good seafood. Will not be coming back
