This hotel is sold as 5 star hotel but it really isn’t. We stayed in two rooms - myself and my husband in one and my sister, her husband and daughter in the other. We paid £800 pp for a week. However, we landed early hours of the morning and departed early hours so we really only got 5 days - not the hotel’s fault. Pros: The hotel rooms were clean and tidy. The beach is fabulous and there were plenty of sun loungers, clean toilets and food/drink available. The sea is clear and the sand was clean. Waffles and ice cream at the beach were lovely. The entertainment staff are very friendly and do make every effort to get people involved. The spa is nice - we all had a massage, Turkish bath and facial! Really lovely experience. Cons: The food wasn’t great quality and was cold most of the time. You have to serve yourself tea/coffee etc at breakfast and that’s if you can find any clean cups or glasses. In the evening, if you can get someone’s attention, you’ll be able to order drinks. However, there was often no ice, or the soft drinks were flat. Cocktails at the bar never came out the same - even when ordering the same thing. We ate out 2/5 nights during our stay. Sadly, it just doesn’t meet the standard of a 5 star hotel. The pools were absolutely freezing - we went mid October so I understand that the temperature has dropped, but they were unusable. Luckily, the sea temperature was still ok for swimming so we were able to spend time in the water. Whilst the staff aren’t unfriendly as such, there’s not really that feeling of being welcome at the hotel. The real kicker was when we checked out and a guy who we had never seen, on reception, pointed to the tip box on the counter and indicated for us to put something in. He held out his hand and took the notes of what we had given, put them into his pocket and then put the change into the box. I was genuinely shocked - we had been tipping throughout our stay when we felt it was warranted! Overall, we had a lovely holiday spending time together as a family but would not return to the Terrace Elite.
