Really worth a stay. Loved it. Big funny rooms, just like going back in time The hotel is just in the middle of the city, so could not be in a better position. The bar is great with fine service. The only thing that didnt work was the breakfast. It took forever...... When we finally got it, the food was fine.

Had lunch here during our 2 day stay in Cody. The historic building, outside and inside, is wonderful. Just walking through is a treat to experience. But the lunch was underwhelming. In our opinion it wouldn't take much to upgrade the food experience and this would be an excellent restaurant. Still, if you're in Cody its worth stopping in.

Being a working cowboy, the place is rich in history! You can still see bullet holes in the original ceiling. Been a while since I was there, but that's what I remember. That and the pretty little blonde I was with! Sure wished I hadn't lost contact with you, Susan!

We only visited for dinner and to enjoy the bar; so much so we did this each night we were in Cody. We loved the aesthetic; very old-West and what you'd expect from a hotel with the Buffalo Bill name attached to it. Drinks are fairly-priced and service is quick. Regarding the food--it's a bit hit-or-miss.

It lives too much on it historical past with ref to Buffallo Bill Cody who built the hotel. The rooms are very tired and are in need of refresh. There is not a working elevator in the building (it needs updating). Getting your cases up two flights of stairs is a drag. We asked for help as we had four suitcase due to the length of our road trip. Restaurant on site gets very busy selection is buffet or menu. As we had lunch we had the all you can eat soup and salad. Really excellent soup and salad. Breakfast selction was usual scrambled eggs over done but with really crispy bacon. Some other dishes we didn't recognise. The restaurant is tired also and is in need of a refresh. Original bar and rear bar was the best part of the hotel. Parking is a bit of a challenge but persevere and you'll get there if you go to hotel. Overall a disappointing.

Centrally located on the main drag. Beautiful bar back. Rooms are "dated" but in a good way. Clean rooms and beds were comfortable. Lots of original carpet and decor and it fits perfectly with the story of Buffalo Bill. We had beverages at the main bar and it's beautiful. We didn't eat there but the dining room was busy.

For lunch only, The Irma offers the BEST fish & chips in town. In addition to choice of fries (potatoes or sweet potatoes) and coleslaw, you get a large filet which is half a whole haddock done beautifully in a tempura batter. No one in Cody comes close in quality, size, or price. You can also skip the fries and coleslaw and get the salad bar instead.

What a fabulous Wild West Hotel built in 1902 by Bill Cody (Buffalo Bill) & named after his daughter Irma. Full of authentic bars, furniture, artefacts. Warm welcome in the bar & filled with locals so a real western flavour. Excellent breakfasts, main meals not that great. There are buffets on certain nights from June & every Sunday. It was packed when we arrived. They can seat 250 diners We stayed in ‘The Irma Suite’ fabulous. Comfy beds good shower, authentic furniture. A little noisy as on Main Street with Lorries early in the morning. Long corridors with high ceilings. Can imagine cowboys walking those corridors. Great shop selling western clothes.
