We arrived 22nd August for a week.. Excellent facilities for the kids, pool was fantastic, aswell as the parks. Some beautiful walks around the nature trail. The milkshake hut was great, and on the last day we had a beautiful breakfast from the cafe. The staff are wonderful, always friendly and willing to help... We had a issue one night with neighbours arguing into the early hours and the poor owner an his wife where dragged out of bed to sort them out. The next day the owner walked about to check we was all OK, which was nice of him to do... You always get the odd one somewhere that cannot be respectful! Other than that by 10pm the place was peacefully quiet, which I was rather suprised at given how large and full it was. We will definitely be returning in the future 10/10. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed for a week in August so busiest period. The site was well kept, we had a large pitch which was serviced so a bonus, as we are on the first pitch through the gate it could be a little tight but no real issues. The facilities were great for a family. The site was well located and we explored all the local tourist attractions. All round a good stay, would definitely recommend. Ps lots of wasps but thays everywhere this year.

3.30am our neighbours went to bed the first night, 1.30am the second night. Although they seem very strict with rules they do not enforce any. We have never been a site that doesn’t at least have someone come round at quiet time to tell people no noise. With 5 kids in our party 3 of which are SEN we thought this would be a wonderful place where the kids could at least sleep from 10/11pm. Toilets and showers are dirty but they have a lot, same poo smear on one of the toilets for the 48hrs. “Disabled” room was a struggle to get into as it was just used by absolutely everyone, no key and not separate so everyone used it even single persons who just wanted more room. On arrival we had issues with people just picking whatever spot they wanted to camp, although we were on the right one there was issues. Park is full of sand, our kids loved that so a positive for us but be mindful the kids will get filthy! Pool you have to book, we were not told this on arrival so missed our first day. You get a 45 minute slot for each day. Not that people took notice of this, we noticed the same family in there for 5hrs and it was absolutely rammed! We were like sardines and all kids had floats (not saying that’s wrong but was very uncomfortable getting hit on head every few minutes) Wasn’t a pleasant experience. No lifeguard just a ring doorbell that you pressed button if anything happens and again not monitored with time-slots. We had a grass pitch which was that dry and solid we struggled to put tent pegs in or out. A tractor must of gone through ours whilst wet as it had tracks and holes so wasn’t comfortable at all, struggled to find a place flat enough to place tent then ended up walking through tractor tracks and holes all weekend. Shop is well stocked for essentials and a few toys for kids. We ordered pizzas on that sat evening. 4 pizzas (12”) and one chips come to £45 and pizzas tasted like burnt cardboard, not one person liked it and my partner spat it out and we cooked food instead!

It's a lovely site, on the whole clean and pleasant. We've been here twice and will continue to go back. The pool is the highlight for us and the location is great and easy to get too. Why not 5? The play parks are sand based. Nothing I hate more than sand especially in a caravan! Plus the parks aren't the best equipped, once the kids have gone down the slide that's about it. No swings! This is only my downside and most likely won't bother lots of people. The cafe is fantastic and the fresh milk machine is a nice novelty.

Wow! Manor Wood has set the bar high! This was not only my first time camping, but I did it in the company of three kids (under 7). The set up was fantastic, everything from the childrens play area, pool, eatery for breakfast! It was clean, friendly and safe. We will certainly be back again!
