"The breakfast buffet, prepared by two very attentive staff members, deserves special mention. Thank you for that. The arrival, handled by the hotel manager, was unsatisfactory. He lacked any friendliness. My single room was very poorly heated. I was offered a radiator. Dinner in the restaurant was a disappointment. Dry pork tenderloin (€26), side of fries (€4). The price-performance ratio is not right. A glass of Dornfelder (€8), an espresso (€4). It's a real shame that the quality has declined so much. This was my third time staying here. The service used to be excellent and not unfriendly like the manager. Next time I'll choose a different hotel. But next time I will choose a different hotel."

"I stayed at the Hotel Keßler-Meyer for two nights in September 2023 with a friend. We had a very good time overall. We had room 4 in the main building, close to the reception, which was clean, spacious, stylishly decorated, and well-equipped with A/C, TV, safe, fridge, coffee maker, free Wi-Fi, hair dryer, bath robes, slippers, a sauna bag containing towels and a blanket, and even a hiking backpack with a refillable water bottle. The bathroom was clean and spacious as well. A nice selection of brand toiletries were provided. We had booked a package which included half board, a massage, a bottle of wine and one of water, a cocktail, plus free use of the spa area until 6 p.m. on the day of departure. The pool is quite small but was never very crowded. I often had it to myself. The spa area is nice, though rather small as well. It contains two saunas and a steam bath. Tea, water, and apples are provided free of charge. Breakfast was buffet style and was very good. There was a vast selection of items and most of them were of good quality, though we didn’t care for the falafel and humus. Didn’t try the fried eggs as they looked quite dry. Dinner on both days consisted of soup (two kinds to choose from), salad from a salad bar, main course (meat, fish, or vegetarian), and dessert (two options to choose from). We enjoyed the food, overall. My only criticism is firstly the fact that the same kind of soup was offered on the two consecutive days, so although it was good it was probably not freshly prepared on the second day, and secondly the horrible dessert on the second day, which consisted mainly of a marinated pear that was terribly dry. My friend couldn’t eat it at all, in fact. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did have our doubts about the massage as it was included in our package, but it turned out to be very good. When we checked out we were given a snack pack for the trip home consisting of two bottles of water, apples, and home-made cookies, which was a very nice touch. It takes about twenty minutes to walk to Cochem old town from the hotel, but it is a pleasant walk along the river. The walk to the castle looks steep, but it turned out to be easier than I had expected and took me less than half an hour. So I would say the hotel’s location isn’t bad. We had a view of the castle from our room. To sum it up, I warmly recommend this hotel and might return."

"A chance find in early September 2023. Sits on Hundsruck plateau above Mosel Valley and close to Kastellaun. Called back for full meal which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. Much better than the "rip off" places in Mosel and with the diversion."

"We've stayed here before and really liked it. This time was the same. Staff is very friendly, location is very convenient for walking into Cochem proper. Breakfast was good and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. The only issue this time was the parking. All the lots right by the hotel were full so I had to park up the road a ways and that made for loading and unloading rather difficult. But apart from that, it was enjoyable as always and will stay here again when in this area."

"I had the worst flight day I can remember so I had to contact Peter three or so times about my arrival. I finally made it close to 11 pm rather than early afternoon. He was absolutely comforting! Even once said “no worries”. When I did arrive I went to wrong door (my fault) and when I called he stayed on phone with me while I walked around the corner. My room was perfect for me, clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast had a nice selection and everything was fresh. I was met each morning at breakfast with a very pleasant and welcoming smile. Sometimes those little things are appreciated more than hotel owners realise. There is a very nice balcony area here and it was nice to sit there and enjoy the Moselle views after walking all day. I even took my dinner there and ate one evening. I would absolutely stay here again."

"This hotel also offers parking with a shuttle service to Frankfurt Hahn airport. I would advise against this here. The driver is not reliable at all. Both when we dropped off our car and when we picked it up, we had to wait a long time for someone to come. The agreed time was not kept. The phone number we left for us was not answered. It took us 30 minutes to get through to someone. And then we had to wait forever. Lame excuses that she had a flat tire and that she was only there because the new temporary worker was unavailable. She said the same thing when we picked her up. Yesterday we had to wait over an hour and our children were the only ones who were not picked up by the shuttle bus. We have often left our car with other people but this is the first time we have tried this parking lot and it will be the last time. There was no real apology either. Just the words: we are right, this is not acceptable..."
