Lovely stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the room was spectacular. Extra touches in the room were very nice. Only negative was noisy guests in neighbouring rooms.

Grand old building. Pity about everything else. Staff were cold, uninterested and zero engagement. Room smelt of damp and fire evacuation plan was for a different room. The hotel have resorted to using headset earpieces and walkie-talkie for their front of house staff. This is really disappointing and breaks (at least the illusion of) the sense of personal attention and hospitality. All staff engagement was transactional. It definitely felt like part of a mechanical efficiency system; like McDonalds, rather than a hotel guest experience. This diminished the sense of personal care and attentiveness for me as a guest. With only 51 rooms the hotel isn't big to require this for an effective operation. I think empowering staff how to engage directly and confidently with their guests, encourage background communication with headsets (if at all!) and certainly removing walkie-talkie from reception team. This was a really poor first impression and I did not enjoy my stay. And also please ask your F&B supervisor to cut his nails they were dirty and gross. Lots of other local accommodation options. I would not be back in a hurry.

I stayed for 2 nights and highly recommend this Hotel, very attentive staff, lovely clean rooms and fabulous food. Directly situated on the Sea front overlooking the harbour. The beds are so comfy! Hoping to come back very soon

The historic hotel is well maintained and clean. We stayed in a suite that was huge. The bed was luxurious and comfortable. The room overlooked the Kennedy Park and the harbor. Gorgeous views. The outdoor seating of the bar was directly below the window, so at times we needed to close the windows from noise and cigarette smoke. The huge bathroom was very nice with good water pressure. The Lyft to the 2nd floor still required a few steps to navigate with luggage. Great location within a walk of everything. Parking on the street is available for free over night after 5pm. First hour is free during the day. They have a parking lot but you must reserve a space. The bar down stairs served excellent food. We ate both nights and we were very pleased with the food and service. The staff were excellent and I would definitely stay here again.

Recently stayed here for 1 night and I really enjoyed it. Staff everywhere around the hotel were super friendly. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and just the right temperature. Most improtantly the bed was very spacious and comfortable, as well as the room was very quiet, so great for a good nights sleep. Nice view looking out onto the Irish Sea and the small park at the front of the hotel. Bar is lively, with great service and breakfast was plentiful. Great location, central to Cobh.
