A fantastic hotel in the centre of Coban! Great atmosphere and the team of people who work in the reception and kitchen is just fantastic! The internet connection is phenomenal for those who work online. There are routers all over the place and you can work in a specially-designated conference room which is still under construction. The speed of the internet is about 80mbps. Highly recommended!

Hice mi reservación por teléfono, una semana antes de mi viaje. Desde la ciudad capital de Guatemala, hasta Cobán, Alta Verapaz. (5 horas) Al llegar al hotel, me comenta el de la recepción que no existe mi reservación, ni la de mis 4 compañeros. Y efectivamente nos dejaron sin habitación. Me parece bastante poco profesional e independientemente de lo “bonitas” o de “cómodas” que sean las habitaciones. El dejar a alguien sin reservación, mientras lo hizo ordenado y tranquilamente, es poco profesional y habla de un “hotel” sin experiencia y de un servicio pésimo, el joven no contestó y no me solucionó nada a las 8 de la noche.

Me hospedé en este hotel y la verdad quede muy satisfecho. La habitacion era comoda y amplia. La comida estuvo deliciosa y muy bien servida. El facil acceso al parqueo y la atencion del personal se agradece bastante. Lo recomendaria con familiares y amigos.

Beautiful property in downtown Coban. The property is quite pretty, with a tree growing in the plaza. Breakfast was included and was quite good. The staff care about their guests. Free parking. Comfortable room. Excellent public spaces. Central location

Das Hotel können wir sehr empfehlen. Als wir ankamen wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und wir hatten schnell unser Zimmer. Unser Zimmer im ersten Stock war sehr ansprechend eingerichtet, das separate Bad war sehr sauber, die Betten sehr gemütlich. Täglich gab es neue Handtücher und alles, was wir brauchten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Der Herr an der Rezeption hat uns gleich für den nächsten Tag einen Ausflug nach Semuc Champey organisiert. Und als wir knapp mit Geld waren, wurde uns auch hier geholfen, was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Dafür sind wir sehr dankbar. Wir können das Matalbatz Hotel sehr empfehlen.

We were received by very friendly staff. The rooms were nice, comfy beds and a good shower! We had a nice breakfast and staff helped us organize some transfers and gave us good info on different activities around the area. Overall very good quality for Money.

Muy bonito lugar, me gustó mucho, el personal atento, el hotel está súper cerca de el centro y plazas comerciales, las habitaciones muy cómodas y limpias, el personal muy bueno, calidad y precio excelente, me volveré a quedar cuando regrese a coban, todo muy tranquilo y quedé encantado con la limpieza 10/10. Lo recomiendo.

Cuando quise pagar con mi tarjeta me cobran un recargo del 5%; debería ser un servicio incluido ya que por una estadía larga no se puede cargar grandes cantidades de efectivo. Primera y última vez que nos hospedamos en este hotel; cabe destacar que las habitaciones son muy cómodas
