Courtyard Saltillo

Traveling on business can be a 'bear'. When you add in a foreign country and language, one can have their arms full. In choosing a hotel under a familiar brand, I thought that I would be OK. Unfortunately, in this case, the results were mixed. The hotel's exterior is wonderful and glamorous. There's lots of glass and a marble type driveway to greet you. The lobby area is open and inviting. The facility offers free underground parking. The rooms are dated. They need a refresh or dedicated efforts from maintenance and housekeeping. My top sheet had a usual black stain to add a blood stain on my pillow. It is tough to miss such items on a white sheet. The floor in my room was uneven and required noticeable effort when walking from the bed to the bathroom. The shower floor desperately needs re-caulking. One of the treadmills and the stair master machine were not functioning. On the surface, this is a top shelf facility. But once you lift the hood, there's a lot of work to be done.

We traveled to Saltillo celebrate our niece's birthday & visit the mother in law & other family--Parque Centro is so nice, safe, & convenient--we knew this is where we wanted to be. (Last time we stayed in the Hampton & were scared the whole time we'd get robbed) Courtyard did not disappoint! We were in 1015, & enjoyed the view of the area, the food was wonderful--I was a bit disappointed there were no snacks in the market, but WalMart was only a few steps away! The staff was kind & helpful, especially Alex in the bistro.

During my visit, I encountered unprofessional behavior from the waitress, Paola. From the moment I sat down, she was very rude and pushy. She immediately approached my table and tried to give me the check before I even had a chance to order from the kitchen. Despite my many stays here, I have never felt so rushed and unwelcome.

Horrible experience! We arrived to our room and the AC was doing this loud noise. I asked for another room. They change the room, not before letting us know the there was no hot water in the entire building but for sure would be fixed that very same day by 10pm. Surprise surprise ! It was not fixed! In the new room, the toilet did not flush properly, meaning bearly. We asked for it to be checked and they said there could do little to nothing to fix it. Next day they block the entrance to the parking lot. God knows why! The bright side beds are comfy and breakfast was ok! However if you can avoid this hotel, please do. Right next to it , is AC, from the same chain and it is waaaay much better. We were there this past November.

Hotel didn’t honour friends and family rate and wanted to charge us 4x the price! Manager said that the hotel was very busy and they could get a much higher rate. After some research, we discovered this goes against the brand policy. Very dishonest and lack of any integrity shown by the manager. Not to mention, there was a problem with water pressure and temperature in the bathrooms. The hotel staff Was also not friendly and seemed irritated, particularly the woman in charge of the breakfast.
