A very big thankyou to Adam and his kitchen team, a fabulous Sunday roast dinner, out of this world. Also to the friendly front of house team for making it a full experience.

My partner and I recently stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. It was slightly cheaper than other hotels in the area but a complete rip-off given the state of the room. Upon arrival we noticed everything was looking very run-down and generally unclean. The window frames were covered in black mould and fungus, a serious health risk. When this was raised with staff, they couldn't have cared less. It appears to be an ongoing issue as it it looked as though mould had been previously painted over in some patches. I said that the room did not meet expectations but no care or compensation was offered. A very disappointing stay.

Not the best ..... expected more Noisy room right on junction... mouldy windows and frames in room not best when wife has allergies. Restaurant really slow ...lost our order even at 5.00 pm when quiet Wouldn't go back ....better options actually in Topsham

When we parked up outside it looked quite grim and we had low expectations. We were very wrong. The double room we had was newly refurbished and had a luxurious super king Hypnose bed. It was very cosy. The bathroom was as stunning with a big walk in rain shower. Very clean and nice amount of fluffy towels provided. The only thing that let it down was a huge water tank on the other side of our room which you could hear refilling throughout the night which did interfere with our sleep. Otherwise excellent value for money

A lovely resteraunt and bar. Great location with ample off street parking The staff were first class, very helpful and went out of their way to look after me. The food was excellent, my room was clean, comfy bed and would definitely stay again

Lovely atmosphere, with a real fire burning, easy check-in, friendly staff, good food and value for money. Every staff member greeted us with a cheery hello in the bar, corridor, at breakfast and at dinner. A refreshing change! This is a real gem and I'll certainly be back.

We were in the accessible room, it’s a good size. The wet room is well laid out and well equipped for a wheelchair user. However it needs a really deep clean, mouldy smelly shower curtain, tiles around shower LOTS of black mould in the grout, very off putting. Breakfast very average, wouldn’t recommend. Choose a room away from the road, we had poor sleep due to the traffic noise

We have often stayed here on many occasions when Lesley was in charge, We knew things would be different now she has moved on and Rebecca and her team have taken over. We always book the assessable room due to my husband having surgery. When we arrived there was only one bedside lamp..the other was broken,no shade or bulb at all.. There was mould in the wet room where the flooring met the tiles.. nothing that would come clean with bleach and a good scrub. The bubble bath on the wall was watered down..never even bubbled.. We only had one loo roll.. The bin an the bathroom and the bin in the bedroom was not emptied..And to top it we only had WiFi in certain areas of the pub not in our room..We asked for toast and marmalade our breakfast..which never came and no bin at the breakfast table to put yr used tea bags and sugar papers in..instead everyone's was left on the table..yuck!!
