My husband and I have found our new go to place on our way to the Ozarks! We travel there to visit family and like to break up the drive from Minnesota, and West Des Moines is the half way point. The front desk reception ladies are sooooo welcoming. The rooms are clean, with cabin decor. Set in a nice part of the city. Walking distance to resturaunts, and shopping. Paved trails right out the door, and pet friendly! It was so wonderful to have our little family member being treated as an honored guest. The fire pit is awesome! We enjoyed it so much in the evening, having our drinks and visiting with other guest. The breakfast is great with many options, set in a lodge atmosphere. The breakfasst attendant is the nicest, most accomidating person , she greets everyone and asks if she can bring you anything. We did not go into the pool area, but it looks wonderful and we witnessed many people enjoying their time there. We loved our experience so much, well, we booked it to stay on our way Back from the Ozarks! A true gem of a Lodge.

Impressive check in staff and breakfast attendant! Loved the biscuits every morning! The room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The room was clean but could use some freshening up (caulking, tile, paint touch-ups).
