Super 8 by Wyndham Clinton

When I pulled into the parking lot I thought they may have been out of business because there was only one car in the entire parking lot when the motels around them had full lots. I went inside to check in and the teenaged girl at the counter acted like it was a bother to deal with me. She had a cell phone up to her ear while talking with me. The first room I was given reeked of smoke and it was supposed to be a non smoking room, so I went back to the office and the girl didn't believe me when I told her it smelled like cigarette smoke. She said "It shouldn't smell but I'll go check and let you know if I think it smells like cigarettes" I told her that it smelled and I wanted a new room. She reluctantly gave me a key to another room which ended up having a broken lock and I couldn't even get into it. Then she gave me a key to the third room which had bugs in the bathtub and one very large beetle on the floor. I went back to the girl to complain about the bugs and she said "Look, listen, there's no way to keep the bugs out of the room unless we put a net around the building" Tired and disgusted, I ended up just going to Walmart and I bought some bug spay and took care of it myself.

Always stay here every year when I drive up to visit family in the area. Staff is always friendly & helpful. Easy access to shopping & places for food.
