Travelodge Ashbourne

The staff are incredibly kind and generous. Best thing about the place is the surroundings, there are trees and fields so lots of wild life. Owls, birds of prey, robins, wrens and I even saw a fox. Hotel is clean and comfortable, and the furnishings are really nice.

poor hotel, shower is a massive safety issue, shower constantly going freezing cold & then boiling hot.

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful reception staff. The reception ares, corridors and rooms all looked and smelled fresh and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom spotless. The purpose of the stay was to visit Alton Towers which was less than 20 minute drive away, but we discovered Ashbourne to be a lovely town and there ate many other attractions near by. We will definitely be visiting again and would definitely use this travelodge as our accommodation.

Had everything we needed just for the night & perfect location for visiting Alton Towers. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Pub on the same road for food etc and an Aldi across the road for anything else!

The price was reasonable, the staff were friendly and professional and the room was clean and shower was easy to use. However, controlling the heating was tricky. I set the temperature to 17 to sleep but was asked to enter a code. The heating seemed to be set to 17 and on time the room cooled down but then twice during the night I woke up sweating with the temperature set to 20 (a suitable temperature for an office during the day but not for a bedroom.) However, I didn't speak to staff so don't know if it was potentially easily resolved.

What an awesome hotel this is. We come time and time again as its welcoming, clean, quiet, just the perfect location to stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Alton towers, dovedale, Tissington trail literally on the door step. We shall be back again soon..

Car parking free and easy very friendly ladies on reception to check us in room was clean and comfortable it was a very good price too, close by to everything you need with an Aldi opposite the hotel. Would recommend and I would definitely stay again

Nice friendly reception staff an ideal hotel next door to Ashbourne , an ALDI and The Stepping Stones Bar Restaurant convenient for a short drive to Alton Towers.
