Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Lots of great food options. Location is perfect too. What makes this hotel truly special is the outstanding staff. Aine at reception was exceptional. Every request and query was met with a big accommodating smile and she made sure my elderly Mom was well taken care off.

A wonderful one night stay at the Station House Hotel Clifden. A great experience with very welcoming staff particularly Áine and Mary at reception. We were given an upgrade on arrival to a suite that really topped off our stay. Comfortable restaurant and very tasty breakfast . Would highly recommend this hotel for value for money and customer service. Looking forward to our next stay.

Very noisy. The hotel is very nice, the beds comfortable and the staff are charming. The website boasts updated rooms but I don’t think that their refurbishment included fitting proper soundproofed windows! I had to change rooms after I checked in, as I was out on the main road and it was so noisy (with windows shut). I was then given a nice room at the back of the hotel but I write this review at 6.30am after I was woken by the delivery truck being unloaded. It’s a pity, as a bad nights sleep is literally the worst thing you can say about a hotel - if sleep is important to you! Other than the noise - it’s a nice and centrally located hotel.

Just returned from a short mid week break regretting it was'nt a longer stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The staff were so helpful, food was excellent (we were doing B&B) and overall a great laid back vibe throughout the hotel. Exactly what we needed. We had one evening meal in the hotel and we were very impressed with the service and quality of the food. All food was so fresh and cooked just right. I requested one of the "less abled" rooms which was perfect for our requirements. The room had all facilities you would expect in a very well run 4* hotel. Beds were super comfortable. 6/7 min walk into the main street of Clifden with all its bars, shops and restaurants. Its a long drive from Dublin but absolutely worth it, Scenery is stunning and constantly changes. We will return!

The setting is amazing with great views all around. Even the drive to the hotel is breath taking. The rooms are very comfortable and have all the amenities you could want. The food was very good and served very well.

We loved our stay! Great downtown location, everything is walkable. Clean, fresh updated room! Fabulous made to order breakfast. The Clifden Station House had welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Our stay was a highlight of our Clifden visit. We will stay here again!!

A really nice hotel lovely welcoming staff too , food very good in both restaurants, special mention to Oscar in the bar and young leandros I think was his name they were always there for a wee chat too while working of course lol ......made use of the hotel gym , pool and jacuzzi too , in all we were very pleased with the Clifden hotel and the shower was brilliant too must add that ......
