Very calm and clean. The staff is very friendly, and you feel right at home. Excellent service, just as everyone hopes for. I’ll definitely be back soon!

We went 2 hours out of our way to stay here BECAUSE of the hand painted mural in the Everglades lounge. It was closed and has been for a while (internet listing does not reflect this). We wasted our time and could of been sitting on a beach a day sooner had we known

Beautiful lobby area and the history is cool but our room was dirty with dead bugs on the floor. There were holes in the wall and where the outlets and cables were coming from the wall, nothing was attached right and falling out. Repairs needed for sure. We wouldnt mind staying again as long as housekeeping did a better job of cleaning and maintenance fixed issues in the room. Plus we could not get the tv to work properly.

My husband went on a trip to visit old friends and stayed at the Clewiston Inn aka America's Best Value Inn last week. Upon checking in, the desk clerk told him that he had "double booked". My husband disputed that announcement and the desk clerk "fixed" the error. The hotel is an old historic hotel, but none of the photos shown on the website are accurate. First night, he found his door wouldn't even lock so they moved him to another room. He didn't use any of the facilities while there due to visiting with friends but it was run down. He checked out on the 10th and flew home. The next day I checked our bank account and found they had double charges for 1 person for a 1 week stay. I immediately called the hotel to speak to a manager, who informed me that they would take care of the mistake. I received an email showing they had refunded the amount but it would take 24hrs to reflect in our bank account. The next day, sure enough, there was the amount credited to our account but was pending and would take 24hrs to complete. This morning, I checked our bank account and no where was there any indication of a refund, credit, pending credit or any similar. However, there remained the double charge. So I called back to the hotel to speak to the manager who informed me that "they do not have the ability to refund to our account and call your bank". I called my bank, reported fraud which the representative agreed was a scam. The bank representative said it typically happens where the scammer will "drop the charge" but not actually refund the money. So, advice is this...avoid this hotel despite nostalgia. It's not worth the hassle. Only positive thing about the hotel were the housekeeping staff. They were very friendly.

I had a fantastic stay, at this hotel.. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-stocked with amenities. I especially appreciated Dayara Kyeasha who made my check in go smoothly. . I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Everything was great with the exception of the water pressure in the shower was not very well and the air conditioning was not very well either, but for an older older hotel, it was not bad
