Fairfield by Marriott Cleveland

Guests praise the exceptionally clean rooms and friendly staff. Convenient location near attractions and highways. The excellent breakfast with variety is also highlighted.

If I could, I would leave no stars! My husband and I were traveling to Ohio due to a death in our immediate family and stayed on June 15. The hallways and dining areas are under renovation, which I agree should have been done a long time ago. When we checked in, there was a person lingering around the front door, which didn't give us a good feeling. I forgot my Ralph Lauren bathrobe on my bed when we checked out the next morning and called the next day to ask about it. I left my phone number and requested a call when they found it. Upon receiving no call, I phoned again the next day. The person answering asked if it was a white robe and said they had not seen it. All I can say is someone was being deceptive. They must have needed it more than I did. We will be hesitant to book any other room at a Fairfield Inn, despite being a BonVoy member.

When we checked in, I mentioned that I made an extra payment so we could check out by 3:00 pm the following day. A notation was made to my reservations so staff can be aware. The following day, at approximately 12:25 pm, there was a knock on our door advising us that we are past due for checking out. I mentioned about my conversation with the desk clerk when we checked in. Management should review comments on each hotel guests' reservation before attempting to disrupt guests privacy. When I received my statement, I was charged a lot more than what was advertised onlie. I already made two requests for the last 6 days for a refund, but management has not responded as of this writing. I will follow up if and when management will respond.
