Well it’s been a while since I have had any places to write about (COVID) but I’m out and about again. Believe it or not my twins will be off to college in a short while so we are doing the whole college campus thing. So everyone knows Clemson and that’s where we headed. Upon check in I was greeted with the most friendly and courteous lady. We exchanged pleasantries and she offered a map of the campus and some dining suggestions for the area. The room was not elaborate or fancy but my biggest concern was addressed……it was CLEAN! The white bedspreads showed no stains or yellowing, the furniture had no dust and best of all the shower had no sign of mold or mildew as these older more moderate hotels do on occasion. The free breakfast bar offered an assortment of muffins, sweet rolls and pancakes. There were also eggs, scrambled and omelette, bacon regular and turkey as well as an assortment of juices, cereals and yogurt. Oh and let us not forget coffee! There was an attendant constantly cleaning tables as guest left and ensuring that the foods that were low were refilled. The price was right for a mom getting ready to embark on two college tuitions at one time! We would certainly stay at this location again! Go Tigers!

This hotel was a nightmare! The only reason I gave it one star was because I couldn't leave it blank. The cleanliness was subpar. There was residue from the last guests still present on the toilet. Do with that what you may. I had to ask repeatedly for clean towels and waited all day on the ones I received. Other hotel guests were very loud and obnoxious, but nothing was ever done to make them be quiet. I understand that an entire baseball league was staying there for a tournament, but we were made to feel as though our peace and quiet and satisfaction did not matter. The staff was friendly and most of them were working exhaustively because apparently they were overbooked. That explains the not- so- clean room and the wait on the towels. Sadly, there is no reason for the staff's lack of concern for our well being or satisfaction. After speaking with other guests, I learned that several were compensated for their dissatisfaction, but I never was. I was moved to the other side of the hallway after the first night because the baseball players were given basketballs and other sports equipment (by the hotel!!) to use in the interior courtyard. When a basketball hit our balcony door, I asked to be moved. This was by far our worst out- of- town hotel stay. Hopefully, we will look back on it someday and laugh. So far, I'm still outraged by the lack of concern given to us by the hotel staff.

The rooms are clean. The beds are nice comfortable the staff is courteous, but they serve the same food for breakfast and they run out of stuff. Juice has only been orange juice for the last two weeks. The other pieces on the machine is broken have not been repaired after two days of eating the same food do you want to go someplace else but you’re on your way to work or to a conference and just don’t have time to stop Need to make a better effort of changing the breakfast items
