Quality Inn & Suites Mt Chalet

On a road trip, we stopped for one night. This location was easy to reach from US 441 in Clayton, GA. We were able to park right outside the room. The personnel were knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. The room was small but clean. It had two queen beds, a desk with a chair, a side chair with a small table, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a TV. The beds were a little too firm for me, but many perfer firmer beds. The bathroom was very small, with a shower/tub combination and a grab bar in the shower. The toilet was way too short for us 3 senior ladies. Just curious, we measured it. From the toilet seat to the floor was about 19". That seems average. If you're older or have mobility issues, this may be a problem. Also, the 2 story motel does not have an elevator. We requested and received a ground floor unit. There are several restaurants nearby.

We have stayed here many times. After a few so-so stays several years ago, it's amazing. From the wonderful lady (Jeep driver) at check in to the clean and comfy rooms. It's our favorite place to stay in North Georgia. We didn't have breakfast this trip but enjoyed it on past stays.

No frills hotel yet it has all you need. Clean, and well located. A good choice if you are on a budget and are spending a night in town before hiking or continuing your trip to the north of Georgia or other states

The bed is extremely comfortable. The room was clean, bathroom clean. Only complaint is breakfast. I really didn't expect much but they didn't even have a piece of bread out however they did have coffee which was a blessing in itself. Very convient to local restaurants and area attractions.

Do not recommend staying here at all !!! To first top it off i booked it through booking and did the pay ahead. Then after checking out they proceeded to tell me that booking did not show the 1% price increase and i owed more money. But it gets worse. The next morning I realized I left my diamond necklace on the bathroom counter. Immediately called up there told them where it was on the counter and they stated they never saw it. I know they took it and a criminal investigation is pending on this !!!!! So DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!

Check in was abrupt. Clean, comfortable, but was never able to connect to internet--Had a password but the access wouldn't come up--even when front office came to help, it never worked. I had to get help for TV remote, which are apparently switched out for cleaning with each guest and it needed reconnected... again front desk was on the spot t help. (Different person from check-in) I was next to vending area, but ice machine was not functioning and I had to walk to another building to get ice. I usually stay at another location when in Clayton but thought this looked like a better option from the outside. I was wrong.
