We booked a room at the Picco Bello based on the positive reviews and were disappointed. We announced our arrival at 7:00 p.m. by telephone, at 7:00 p.m. the reception was not manned and at first nobody could be reached at the telephone number that was on a piece of paper. More guests came and finally 20 minutes later someone came by to show us the open room. By the way, the front door is open all night without being guarded, which didn't necessarily let us sleep more peacefully. We booked the cheap room category, the room was small and under the roof, the bathroom was very small and absolutely in need of renovation. Toilet had virtually no flush, the water ran 10 minutes to fill the cistern. The faucet is very leaky when it is closed and can only be turned off halfway in one position. shower corroded. Door to the bathroom very thin, the roof window has to be opened with a stick to air it out. The door to the room didn't fit into the frame and therefore couldn't be closed properly. Very large gap at the bottom and also a gap all around so that the hallway light was disturbing at night. The bed creaked with every movement, so our night wasn't really relaxing. Breakfast was very extensive for €10, we were the only ones who had breakfast. Because of the breakfast there are 2 points, otherwise it would only be 1 point. There was no map of the room with emergency exits marked, which is usually mandatory in hotels.
