My wife and I checked in to this hotel on our way home front NC. I Immediately noticed a very strong odor in our room, didn’t think much about it at the time but we we returned from dinner it was still very bad. I remembered what my best friend told me a few years ago as he was a wallpaper and wallcovering professional. He said if you ever see a purplish tint coming through the wall paper it’s bad. Black toxic mold represents its self this color under wallcoverings. I pulled back some of it and there it was, a ton of black mold on the wall under the wallpaper. We put a towel under the door and turned on the bathroom fan for the night, next morning we both had a slight headache from this room. When I asked for the manager the next morning I was told he was out sick, wonder why. It’s not about the money we spent it’s about a infant or a elderly person with a respiratory illness being carried out of that hotel in a black bag. That’s how bad this hotel is, if one room is like this I have to believe that there are many more. I reached out to Marriott and was assured they would have a team inspect, I even have a case number. As you can imagine we have heard nothing, so this problem is only getting worse and more dangerous. Please do not stay in this hotel with small children or elderly adults it is extremely dangerous. What about the house keeping staff do they even know? My guess is no. Marriott should shut this hotel down immediately.

Room smelled disgusting, neither tv remotes worked I called the front desk and she hung up on me and never addressed the issues. Do NOT stay here!! I checked for bed bugs. If I could I would have given negative stars. Thankfully it’s only one night we are staying.

First the positives, very friendly staff and the breakfast was wonderful with so many choices and keeping it stocked. The location is good right off of 24 with many restaurants and stores near by/walking distance. The bathroom sink is outside of the toilet/shower which is great. The negatives though are that the hotel does not live up to what is expected from a Fairfield. The furniture in the breakfast area is old , stained and worn. The pool was nasty, didn't even want to get in it. The rooms are basic, they were clean but very average and showing age. It is a fine place to stay but could use some sprucing up especially being in the Marriott family and for the price.

If I could give this hotel no stars I would. I highly recommend you look elsewhere, this place is just plain nasty. Below is my story. On March 28, 2023 my husband and I, traveling cross country stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Clarksville. I want you to know it was not a pleasant nor comforting experience. After a long day on the road all we wanted was a quiet clean room, with a comfortable bed and good shower. We had made reservations ahead so did not see the property prior to our arrival, and I did not check the reviews. Saying it was worn but clean would have been a complement. Had I seen the property in person prior to making the nonrefundable reservations I would have never checked in. The room door was open, the door ajar and unlocked when we arrived. The TV and radio blaring. Paint was peeling in the tub- no literally the tub was painted and was peeling, not just a little a peel of paint mind you it was over 18 inches wide, how can one even begin to clean such a surface? The mini fridge was frozen with a thick coat of ice in the back, the room had an unpleasant odor even though the a/c was on and cranked on high albeit it was cold outside, when we put on the heat, the odor was even worse. The carpet had not been vacuumed to any extent and had hair and stuff on it, the floors in the bath were dirty, the furniture shabby and full of greasy fingerprints and remnants of presumably old food or worse. There was dirty dust in the corners and on some surfaces. The bathroom sink and counter were not clean, I had to go the car to get sanitizing wipes so I could wipe things down to use them. The front desk staff, though very kind, said the property was filled up and did not have another room to move us to. We were so tired and there was nothing the staff could do so we decided in our exhausted state to just deal with it and went to grab a bite to eat. When we came back from dinner they said the staff said they would bring the issue up to the manager, which in my opinion was of little consolation. On checkout we received $30.00 off of our total room charge that was overinflated for the property. Trust me, this is not a Marriott, the room should have been gratis at that point, whoever heard that it is okay to ever rent out/charge a consumer for a room in that condition. To management. Look, you may think you are doing a great job but you are not. You are driving customers away. The property needs repair, and a good cleaning. The housekeeping needs a talk and they need training about basic cleaning, sanitation and standards for taking rooms out of commission when they need repair. I have been a Marriott member for many years and have stayed at many hotels, I have NEVER experienced an encounter like this one which was Absolutely Horrible. I will NEVER stay at a Fairfield Inn again. Consumer beware.

This is a nice hotel but it has the same problem as most, people. Dont expect breakfast to be ready at 6am, they'll get around to it when they feel like it. It's more like 6:30 when breakfast is ready. Same with coffee, he took the empty pot away and never brought anymore out. There were guest asking about coffee and were told he'd get to it when he could, totally unacceptable, guess he got nervous after the 3rd guest ask about coffee. When I got here about 9:30 there was a beer can on the floor by the elevator, when I went down for coffee(that wasn't there) at 5:30 the beer can was still there. I know the clerk had to see it unless he never left the front desk. They also do not respect the privacy sign on the door, she walked in on me, my bad for not setting the dead bolt but then again they should respect the do not disturb sign on the door I dont think I'll be back here again as there are other and probably better hotels near by. I know people are hard to come by but there's a point in which you should not just employ a body, its hurts your business

A very nice choice among the cookie cutter highway side hotels. It is a clean hotel and the staff was very friendly. We will stay here again. The breakfast was filling and tasty. The furnishings were a little tired but it did not make a difference to our stay. Our suite was a different shape and let the first awake to be online and not disturb the later sleeper.

The only reason this is not a 1 star review is because the staff was extremely helpful and for the most part very friendly. The hotel is in desperate need of upgrading to meet normal Marriott Fairfield inn expectations. Frankly the Motel 6 next-door was equally as good. This is one of those many Fairfield inns that are old and rundown and should lose their Marriott name. Some of the rooms are even not able to be occupied because of mechanical issues. The food was all cooked in the microwave and was just your basic packaged breakfast bar and egg bacon and cheese muffin items. Although they put some of these in a metal container to appear that they are actually cooked in the kitchen none of it was done in anything other than a microwave. My air conditioner was under charged and ran at 67 the entire time but was still not very cool in the room. although all the tile was updated in the shower was clean many of the furnishings were stained or damaged and should have been replaced when the room was updated. I would not recommend staying here nor will I stay here again when I return.
