The motel is in desperate need of being updated, if not then it should simply be demolished. The exterior and interior were not welcoming and the parking lot was a mess. It smelled like smoke in the motel. Our outside entrance to the motel room was a hangout for construction workers. We won’t be staying here again. Not recommended.

Owners were wonderful! I traveled to Iowa for a funeral with my daughter and found this hotel via the trip app and decided to book it based on reviews. I was pleasantly surprised after walking into the room.

Not what I was expecting
For the cheap price per night I guess I got what I paid for. It's old, I couldn't get the room warm enough. The beds are old, and lumpy, but here's the best part; there was a taxidermy coyote in a leg trap propped up on a shelf in the corner of the room. Dust bunnies on the ceiling, and a reclining chair that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. DO NOT believe the photos on the website!! Like i said, it was cheap per night when I should've just spent the extra money for the Super 8 or more money for the Cobblestone.. at least those hotels gave you breakfast in the morning.

Rooms are cute
This hotel is kind of a different experience. The price is nice. The rooms are cute. The only problem we had was the outside of the hotel needs some major updates. The weather was of course a little on the cold side so a down fall was the heater is a combination heater/AC so when it would kick on it blew cold air and right before shutting off it would blow cold air. It took a good 4 hours for us to get it set high enough to have a warm room. The ice machine wasnt working at all. The office is only open from 7 am to 11 pm. There was also a lot of parking lot noise and hallway noise that you could hear in your room.

The room wasn’t terrible. It was clean, but outlets & lamps didn’t work, fan in bathroom was loud enough to wake the dead. Plus the bathroom door is unfinished wood so it was swollen & wouldn’t close completely.
