Beware there is not free parking at the New Inn as advertised on here. My dad has been issued a parking fine of £100 for being there 24 minutes while just having a drink. The manager Will has said he will try to resolve this so fingers crossed otherwise it will probably affect trade for the New Inn which is usually such a nice place!

Just returned from a three night stay with friends at the New Inn. Lovely hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Evening meals and breakfast very good. Very friendly staff, and we enjoyed the card tricks from Will!. Good location for the Three Peaks and Ingleton Waterfall trail. We will definitively return.

I have just stayed for 1 night with my wife to do Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent. Staff very welcoming and in particular David who couldn't do enough for us. We also got a free upgrade to a larger room inside the main building which was very welcome. Nice comfortable room with a hugh bed and a nice view from the window. There was a good range of real ales in the bar and we had the 2 courses for £25 offer in the evening which was good value. Really tasty food and nicely cooked. The cooked breakfast was lovely as well. Can't really fault the place, and we'll definitely be back.

I enclose below a copy of an e mail that I sent to dndco who manage the New Inn. I sent this on Sunday Sept 8th and on Monday Sept 16th I sent a follow up e-mail as I had not received reply or even an acknowledgement of my e-mail. I still have received no reply whatsoever from them. Dear Sir/ Madam, I am writing to you in connection with our recent visit to the “New Inn” in Clapham. This is a pub/hotel owned and run by your organization. We stayed for two nights on Thursday Sept 5th and Friday Sept 6th. We stayed in room 2. We found this room to be very unsatisfactory in a number of respects. The toilet in the wet room was not working properly and on occasions had to be flushed using the shower. The sink in the bathroom was very small and given that it was partially covered by a glass shelf was impossible to use for anything other than washing hands. Using the shower resulted in large pools of water on the floor and on the toilet which took a long time to dry up. There was nothing to dry or squeegee the floor with and it appeared that there was no underfloor heating to help dry the room. The grouting in the shower area was dirty and covered in pink mould which is quite dangerous for immunosuppressed people. The lighting in the wet room was also dingy and quite inadequate. My partner and I are not disabled but I am astounded to find that this room is described as being suitable for disabled people. A second problem quickly became very apparent and this was that loud creaking noises could be heard from the room above our room – I assume this is something to do with the floorboards in that room. This was not a problem during the daytime bit was a great problem at night time especially at 2am when we were trying to sleep. The manager, David, was very sympathetic to our problems but was unable to do anything about them as it was not possible to move us to another room and impossible to rectify the problems in the time frame concerned. David and the other staff were most pleasant and helpful but all in all, it was a very unsatisfactory stay with you. I look forward to hearing your comments on this matter. Regards Alan Hobson

Following a days walking we decided to pop in to check if they were dog friendly and still serving roast dinners at 3pm. All the staff were so welcoming, they found us a quiet table in the corner where we could sit with our dog. The food was amazing, the best roast we’ve both had in ages. Thank you

Nicely furnished and modern place. Quite busy with people staying and booking in. Thought drinks were expensive, £14 for a pint & glass of wine! Toilets let it down dreadfully! Very dusty, cobwebs and insects all in the webs, not been cleaned in a long time, toilet seat dirty, had to wipe the seat with tissue prior to use,and back of pan dirty, not good 😒🤢

Absolutely shocking service in the bar last night (Monday 2nd September). Walked in at 7pm, myself, my partner and our 12 year old - There were a handful of people in the bar, more empty tables than not. When the barman eventually served us having ignored us for several minutes he told us that we couldn’t eat as they were too busy to serve anymore food (even though the sign outside said food until 8pm) - too busy doing what, staring at empty tables!? I find it hard to believe that a small business can turn away £75 of trade on a very quiet Monday evening……….unbelievable really!

This was a really great place to stay with excellent food and everything, including accommodation, being very good value. Whilst the hotel, facilities food and location were excellent, the stand out was the staff who were friendly, very customer focused and very obliging - in large part a tribute to Will "where there's a Will there's a way" the manager. It was a great experience.
