Really friendly staff who couldn’t do enough to help. Fab location for walking. Lovely rooms.

We were disappointed with several aspects of our stay. On arrival, the curb-side view was poor — planters were overgrown with weeds and the hanging baskets were dead. Out back, kitchen staff were smoking, and the general tidiness was lacking, with leaves left unswept. There appeared to be very few staff on duty; for example, the same lady serving breakfast was also handling check-outs. We stayed in Room 15. The shower leaked heavily, the toilet seat was loose, and the room was not serviced at all during our 3-night stay — meaning we had to reuse wet towels, very small bath towel and even shop for our own toilet roll. Tea and coffee were provided, but sachets were placed in cups, so we had to tip them out each time to use them; a simple extra holder could fix this. On the positive side, the room was a good size, but the TV was very small for the space. At breakfast, the old toaster produced burnt toast, adding to the overall sense of neglect. In short, this hotel could be so much better with some basic maintenance, proper management, and adequate staffing.

Beautiful “olde worlde” hotel, absolute shame about Breakfast* (croissants/cereal, then bacon, or sausage sandwiches, with VERY DRY BREAD), stayed there with friends, all 8 of us ended up going to “The Sawmill” (up the road!), for breakfast - whatever’s happened to the “cooked” breakfast we had back in the day???😥😥😥😥😥😥

Hotel was clean and nicely decorated with plenty car park spaces.Stayed in a twin room, which was spacious and well equipped- tea & coffee facilities, bottled water and biscuits were a nice touch. Nice bathroom with plenty hot water and powerful shower. Breakfast was good included bacon and sausage sandwich, selection of cereals, pastries, juices, toast. We ate at the bar both evenings- food was good and portions were very generous. Extremely good value for money stay, we would highly recommend.

We stayed here for 4 nights to enjoy lots of walking around the area. Firstly the location is great for Ingleborough as you can start your walk up the mountain from the village centre. The hotel was a super place to chill after a long days walking, with a comfy bar to enjoy along with restaurant for lunchtime and evening meals. Breakfast every morning for great, with full help yourself continental style, but with cooked bacon, sausages and wonderful coffee. Our room was at the front of the hotel, so had a lovely view of the village, river and bridge from our room. Large comfy room with nice sized bathroom and all the amenities we needed. Quite location even in village centre so had very restful sleep. The staff were amazing. So welcoming from the minute we checked in until we left. Nothing was ever any trouble and we had some great meals and drinks during our stay. I won highly recommend this place if you want a nice hotel, good food and drinks, very friendly staff, great value for money and perfect location for the Yorkshire 3 peaks and more. Loved it and we will be back again ❤️⛰️
