It all started at check-in, where it always starts, right? Turns out that our booking on their system was actually made for one day later than our actual arrival date, despite multiple confirmations that the booking was in order in the weeks leading up to our stay. That was problem number one which already made for a dodgy start. Problem number two relates to parking and the fact that sufficient hotel parking just does not exist so you are doomed to street side parking meaning that you cannot leave anything in your vehicle despite your OCD compulsion forcing you to plan an overnight bag wanting to leave the rest of the luggage in the car… Yes, yes, the linen and towels are clean and so is the room and bathroom but, is this what 3 star these days mean- crappy check-in experience in a clean room you never booked from the start? I’m giving it two star- make up your own mind at your own peril Best experience of the trip was actually enjoying a cold one and the best pizza i’ve ever had at De Kelders restaurant down the road.
