3-Star Hotels in Clacton-on-Sea

I like to go somewhere that has some bad reviews as well as good because then I know that they were made by real people and not these companies that pay to receive good reviews. I also realise that some people will never be happy and always spend their time being negative. Here is our take on it. We arrived with an electric car, but the electric hook up didn't like us, but that was fine Morrisons was nearby and had loads! Had no trouble parking onsite, though it is £7 each 24hrs, but free to come and go and pay on exit, so don't forget that! No sign of bedbugs as someone mentioned and had a lovely premier plus room on the 2nd floor. It had a fabulous view of the sea and pier with a lovely chair to sit in. (Rm 204). Room very clean, so thanks to the pleasant friendly cleaners we met. Yes you have to step into the bath for the shower, yes no bath mat to harbour germs, so just hold on as the shower is fantastic. Breakfast was much better the 2nd day with Daniel cooking and the ladies Alison and Holly were very welcoming clearing up after us. Friendly booking in, and yes, a little trouble with the key card but that's the system and not the staffs fault! Just chill! Would definitely stay again and we are sad to leave. The pillows are the fluffiest I've ever seen excellent location right in the town centre travelodge is also dog friendly hotel all breeds are welcome small breeds and large breedsi have to dogs of my own they enjoy the hotel staff are very friendly always very welcoming and

When I booked this ( through the well known booking portal)I knew it was going to be very budget but it was within my price range for one nights stay so I ****** it up. How wrong I could be . On arrival there was no parking as stated on the booking however put my van on a side street no issues. I was greeted in the hotel by a lady called Becky who I believe is the manager she kindly offered my to park my van in side entrance if I wanted . She took me to my room and ok so it was basic but goodness whoever is the cleaning housekeeping staff needs commending , my room & bathroom were spotless . Comfortable bed nice warm room had everything I needed. I went to the local Wetherspoon for food which I have to say was excellent. I got a nice glass of wine back at the hotel had a nice chat to Becky. Booked a breakfast which was cooked by herself… again amazing full English no complaints whatsoever again everything clean and well presented & only £7.00!! I cannot fault the hotel for what I paid and if I’m working in the area again I will definitely return . I hope the owner see this and appreciated the hard work Becky does as she really is hands on and keeps everything running smoothly
