Lovely stay at the Chudlleigh, friendly greeting at reception. Comfy room with everything we needed. Walking distance to The Princes Theatre and very close to seafront too. We enjoyed breakfast before we checked out, there’s parking too which is a handy bonus. We recommend

Wow, what a gem, the best guest house I have stayed in for a long time. Wonderful room with so much attention to details and fine trimmings offered - they even left a bar of chocolate with the tea and coffee. And as for breakfast what a spread, cant praise this place enough. Parking right off street, so sorry to have been for stays at other places before finding this place. Will be back, in fact made a booking before I even left.

What a gorgeous B&B. Stayed here with my daughter for 2 nights, we had room 3 and it was perfect. The little touches made all the difference - a fridge in the room, comfy chairs to relax and watch TV, really cosy bed. The service was brilliant, breakfast was delicious. Carol is so friendly & knows her stuff! All the staff were so lovely & couldn't do enough for you. Conveniently located near the pier and the theatre, it's simply brilliant. Parking outside the front. You can't miss this gem!

My wife and I stayed at The Chudleigh for a short break over the annual Air Show period. This hotel is the jewel in the crown of Clacton. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and know how to add those extra special items to make your stay a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The housekeeping and waiting staff are also a delight: friendly, efficient and professional. The rooms are tastefully furnished with those thoughtful extras, comfortable beds, hot showers and the cleanliness is exemplary. We felt indulged in luxury. The breakfasts are iconic: a wide choice of cereals, yoghurts, fruit, and juices while the cooked breakfast is fulfilling and cooked to perfection. There is a comfortable lounge in which to rest after exploring Clacton. I cannot rate The Chudleigh highly enough and I strongly recommend it.

Really nice stay, 40 seconds walk from the pier. Parking, more freebies in the room than any other place I have stayed, the flowers around the property are just as you see in the picture. The owners are charming and want you to be proud of your stay. The rooms are a great size and comfy. There is a lounge which the family enjoyed being in together for a coffee and a glass of wine. The breakfast was with high quality ingredients and a lovely room to eat in, a perfect way to start the day. I have stayed in places twice the price and got less for the money, this is as good a value stay you can find. I would put the prices up at least £20-£30 if I owned the Chudleigh. In all just fantastic value with comfort well above the price you pay.

A great place
A well-run bed and breakfast which provides everything you need. The rooms are spotless and ample sized. The location for the beach and town, is excellent. Breakfast is also brilliant with a wide range to choose from. A very nice place to stay.

This is a fab hotel. Very attentive staff, professional and the room was spotless. Excellent selection of teas & coffees in the room & the chocolate bar was a great addition. The cooked breakfast was delicious and really appreciated it being served 30mins early. A small business doing well and thoroughly deserves to continue to do so and with high ratings.

Excellent b&b parking on the forecourt lovely big room the most comfortable bed big bath towels smelt so fresh great shower, so welcoming and amazing breakfast will definitely recommend to our friends and looking forward to staying again

Hoteliers had provided lots of extra touches. The cleaning was impeccable.
The room was well, decorated she had good quality cushions and curtains made to match the paper on the feature wall, nice quality biscuits and tea, sew kit and cottonpads.
Wonderful comfy bed and clean shower room.
Great selection at breakfast, fresh fruit, raspberry, blueberry, cereals then full English and about 8 various mini jam pots including salted caramel, I had to resist taking them home
1st time I've been to Clacton, was a but scruffy, went onto Point Clear afterwards
