Hyatt Regency Ningbo Hangzhou Bay

Many thanks to Elio for reaching out in advance and getting our room ready. This really streamlined the check-in process, and all the kids' amenities were already set up, so we didn't have to call the front desk after getting to our room. The kids' play area wasn't huge, but it was enough to keep our little one happy and content. The pool is shared with the hotel next door, so it can get a bit crowded. The smaller pool had warmer water, perfect for toddlers to splash around freely. The light dinner in the evening was also very decent, with a good selection of cold dishes, main courses, desserts, and fruits. The breakfast spread was extensive and excellent. The only downside was the air conditioning; it kept cycling on and off. It would stop once the set temperature was reached, then kick back on when it got warmer. This meant we were constantly pulling the covers on and off at night. It would probably be much better to visit during a season when temperature isn't such a big concern.

The facilities, cleanliness, and dining at Hyatt were all excellent, and I was very satisfied with the front desk, room service, and the food and beverage team. However, the only area I found lacking and in need of improvement was the swimming pool. Specifically, the front desk staff lacked a respectful demeanor when addressing guests, and I noticed the lifeguard by the pool lying on a lounge chair and engrossed in their phone. Additionally, the attitude and tone used when enforcing the swim cap rule were unprofessional. A brand like Hyatt should strive for all departments to work together to consistently uphold its reputation for high service standards.
