Outstanding
FFearless08396522213I stayed here for a single night on a roadtrip. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere but there's a small but cute Downtown close by with several restaurant options. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and was kind enough to upgrade me to a suite (I hold gold status with Marriott). My suite was really nice with a suede like couch and plenty of room to stretch out. The bathroom was absolutely large with a huge walk in shower. Breakfast was a cut above the standard free breakfast and had drinkable coffee (I will say the in room coffee ******). There were little quiches and decent breakfast sandwiches along with a ton of other options. I wasn't traveling with my celiac suffering daughter but I was pleased to note they had Udis GF baked goods on hand. Other than bad in room coffee I have nothing bad to say, this is great property.
GGuest UserWe stayed at this hotel with a baseball team that was in the area for a tournament. The sales staff (Christina) worked with us to get a group rate for the team and families. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by wonderful front desk staff (Arleny) that not only had all of our keys already set up for us prior to arrival, but had bags with water and snacks for each of our players and coaches. The hotel rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable. When we came down for breakfast, everything was well stocked, including the bacon! That isn't always the case in hotels we've stayed at before. And the breakfast area was kept exceptionally clean. All of our players said that the breakfast at this hotel was much better than the location we stayed at the previous year (Shout out to Toni who was running the breakfast area). We hope to return to this same tournament next year and you bet we will be staying at this hotel.
GGuest UserAfter several very mediocre stays in Choice properties at all levels, this was a welcomed break. After being inadvertently placed in a room which hadn’t been cleaned, we were moved to a clean room which was overall pleasing. Despite the evening hour at which we checked in, the general manager, Victor, was on duty to see to our immediate needs. He was also there the next morning, inquiring as to how the rest of our stay had been, showing a genuine concern for guest satisfaction. Breakfast that morning, although being pretty much ‘standard fare’ for Choice properties, was well prepared & presented, making for a good start on s new day.
GGuest UserWe have stayed at this location several times before. The front desk has shifted to more of a non helpful atmosphere and just a quick check in check out service. Forget trying to move to another room if the room they put you in smells, dirty or the air conditioner is not working. Once they pick a room for you, you are stuck and they will not accommodate you in any way. They like to say… “ we are fully booked” even though the parking lot is near empty or semi-full in the late hours of the night. We experienced poor service the last visit. I am trying it out one more time and if the same service and subpar room, then I will provide another write up explaining the experience. I hope this hotel can go back to its friendly, accommodating staff and cleaner rooms with working lights and air conditioner.
SSharon_hzThe room is small, complete and the function is very reasonable. Clean, tidy, warm and elegant, enough for one person to sleep. There is hot and cold air conditioning.
There is a gym, free breakfast, and many parking spaces downstairs.
The only downside is that the room has a clear strange smell and poor ventilation.
Will go next time
GGuest UserNice small hotel with plenty of food options nearby. Rooms were quite and staff was very friendly! I will stay here again while my daughter is attending UC Davis. Only 15 min drive on highway, which was actually quicker than staying in Davis and driving through town.
GGuest UserHigh cost performance! The parking lot is large, there are parking spaces when you stay, and parking is free. Sanitary conditions are also good. Convenient transportation. is on the highway, shopping and eating are not convenient. This is understandable.
GGuest UserI was prepared to give this hotel a 10. Front desk check us in with Military precision, I swear it took 6 minutes. We had just traveled from Washington to Sacramento, we were tired and just wanted a shower and sleep. So, fast check in was a bonus, no small talk just in and out. The room was fine, no carpet on the floor, so looked renovated. Then we heard it, the drip drip drip of the shower (before we showered). We tried everything to make it stop but it was too fast. I'll be honest, at this point I was dead tired and cranky. All our gear was in from the car, and it was late, I had no desire to move rooms so I didn't call the front desk. If this place is family owned and run, they already knew that the the shower was leaking. Unless no one ever went in to clean, they should have been aware. A leak that fast doesn't just start. We tried towels on the floor, a facecloth around the shower head, moving the head, nothing worked. The thing dripped every second. We had the worst sleep (I cried at one point) and will not return. There is no one there from 12 to 6 so there was no one to tell, so I left a note. I wish the Rodeway Inn hadn't closed.
