The facilities in the room are fine and you can have a decent breakfast. There are multiple types of bread for breakfast and 3 types of bagels. You can also bake yogurt and fruit waffles. It's a pity that there are only three kinds of side dishes: scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausages. Locationally, there are fast food and restaurants nearby, so it may be good to eat there. The disadvantage is that the windows are not open and there is no ventilation fan in the bathroom. Therefore, if you choose for a long stay, it will take time to dry.
Adequate value for the money. Stayed here several times, and in all rooms TV reception is so snowy it's not worth watching. Breakfast is acceptable, with little healthy food. Staff is friendly and accommodating.
The hotel staff is what makes this facility a great stay. My visit started off with a great welcome by the front of house during check in, after visiting the pool I met the housekeeping staff while they were working the same floor I was staying on - it wasn't that awkward hello in the hallway but instead a ”is everything in your room acceptable for you, do you have everything you need?” A group of professionals really taking that extra step to make sure the experience was a great one. This was complemented at morning breakfast again when I was surprised with a ”I have a hot tray of bacon that will be ready in about two minutes sir...” Overall you could tell this group was really trying to make sure I felt like an appreciated guest.

Let me preface this review by saying that I have stayed well over 1,000 nights in mid to luxury end hotels. This was probably the 14th or 15th Candlewood Suites that I've stayed at. I don't know why there are no very recent reviews of this hotel. After reading the Tripadvisor reviews, I was very unsure of what my experience would be. Well, if you're considering this hotel, but are hesitant to book because of bad reviews you've read, disregard the reviews and just book it. The young lady at the front desk greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant and helpful. I don't know what rooms the Tripadvisor reviewers were talking about in the bad reviews. We were upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom suite as IHG Platinum members. The suite was absolutely brand new, from the carpet to the furniture, wall treatments and everything in the kitchen and bathroom. The interior design elements mirror what is seen in new hotel builds and renovations (open cubbies and cabinets with no doors with more function in a minimalist environment). Bed was extremely comfortable and shower was great. Everything in the unit was pristine and modern. Very friendly staff here as well. Absolutely the best Candlewood I've ever stayed at. Look forward to returning in the future!
Nice and quite with beautiful common areas: this HI is gorgeous: nice high ceilings and beautiful lobby and breakfast area. Breakfast was good: variety of foods: eggs and chicken tenders. I love there were working hand sanitizer everywhere. We were acknowledged HI members and received bottle water and cookies. They place a $25 ”incidentals” on your bill make sure you get that refunded. The worse thing was the room itself: very dark: very limited lighting: lights at bed and desk. The window treatments horrible: the light comes in and it isn't good sleeping. I would say we were next to elevator and ice machine and there was no noise into our room. There are pro and cons staying here. Mixed review.
It is pretty barebones, OK enough to get a good night sleep which was all we needed. It is on a VERY busy street, especially at Saturday night, dinner time. Glad we have a decent GPS. Bad situation .... generally needs repair to the room we occupied. The worst thing was the shower which had a repair to what may have been a deep and wide gash along one section of the bottom. It looked liked it had been repaired but the repair was still quite visible. We did not use the shower because of that ... did not feel like the surface repair would be wiped away. All we needed was a wash-up anyway. We were not taking any chances. There was a breakfast which was on the light side ... like prepared scrambled egg ”circles”send the usual bread items to toast. Other items were there (e.g., yougurt, cereal, coffee, etc. It was actually worth the senior discount price that we paid (about $80 or so). I don't think we will book there again ... better off paying slightly more for a better accommodation.

I foolishly thought Red Roof Inn was a clean economical hotel to spend one night needed for an appointment. After being in the room a few minutes, My eyes began to burn. I spoke to the front desk and was told to open the door. (keep in mind this is beside I-95). I did this and it seemed to get better. I went out for dinner and when I got back, it was even worse. I began wheezing and had a horrible headache. I had spent time trying to get the TV to work... but then I noticed the filth in the room.. Rusty lamp and bedframe.... Rust comes from moisture.. and excessive moisture grows mold. I had to leave and pay for another hotel a few miles away. I complained and even contacted corporate. The only refunded $20.00 out of 74! I did not use anything in the room.. I did not even sit on the bed.. Let the pictures here show you the real rooms. The pictures they show are not anywhere near the one I was in (room 101)

I am a diamond member and have stayed at this property many times over. Last night was the worst ever here. I was awaken twice during the night by the phone ringing 3 rings then 5 seconds later another single ring. First time it happened between 1-2 am and then 2nd time between 2-3am. Then at 5:30am the trash truck came and emptied the dumpster located near my room. Extremely loud which ended by night of interrupted sleep. I mentioned this to the young lady at the front desk when i was leaving and she said they had some problems with the phones lately. I asked her what she meant by that and i never got an answer. I also mentioned the trash truck and she said that is just when they come but she would make a note of it. My take from that conversation is that nothing will come from it. They are also going thru a floor by floor renovation. They need to make changes asap or they will be losing guests!
MmewoseryWe had stayed here before renovation and found the hotel satisfactory despite having issues with the bathroom-tub did not drain properly so 1/4 into the shower you were standing in ankle deep water. Now after renovation, ground floor seems brighter. Rachel was superb!! Room: same issue with tub not draining, now add the sink not draining either. Thank goodness for Clorox spray so we can clean the tub after each use, as one doesn’t know whose shower water they are sharing when the drain backs-up. Carpet still seem worn and dirty, would’ve thought they change tile or other non-carpet flooring, this would make things feel cleaner. Electronics, smart TV the with internet access, updated electrical outlets with USB ports, nice desk area for working. Breakfast was nice with a good variety of hot and cold food.

GGuest UserThis hotel needs an infrastructural and cosmetic upgrade. First off, the people were lovely and do their jobs well. A shout out to the man working the kitchen singlehandedly on Sunday morning, when the clocks were pushed forward. He managed to keep up with a constant crowd of breakfast customers; and worked calmly, quickly and efficiently. The front desk ladies in the afternoon on the Saturday before, March 12th, were kind, friendly and efficient, as well. The room was clean, and bed linens soft. Very noisy. We could hear hallway activity, dogs barking (a little), and kitchen smells. Speaking of odors, the room initially had an unpleasant odor that either dissipated or we got used to. The toilet ran after each flush - had to jiggle the handle. The room was 213. The bathroom had cracks snd blistering in the wall, and ground in greying in the bathtub floor. The shower temp and pressure were great. The room rate was comparable to another IHG hotel in Florence, SC - Staybridge suites, which was lovely.
