4.3/5
Excellent
GGuest UserWe were traveling up the coast and stayed and were impressed with the staff and area. The lady at the front desk.. I believe her name was Shari.. was so helpful!! She gave us some great dinner location suggestions, gave us directions to the nearby beach (where we saw dolphins!) and offered great customer service overall! There was a grocery store across the street, gas station in walking distance, and a target right up the road. The room was big enough for all six of us adults. The breakfast was good. Very happy with our stay.
The bedding was clean, which was a plus. The floors were not. Our carpet was filthy - not only stained, but it appeared to have not been vacuumed before our visit. There was debris all over. We requested housekeeping after our first night, as there were only towels for two (in a double bed room, four guests.) Housekeeping never showed up during our four night visit. We requested it each day. The fridge and TV did not work our first two days. Maintenance finally came (and brought us two more towels) on the third day and just left a new fridge (leaving the nonworking one in the room as well.) Breakfast was fine. Standard for a Hampton Inn. Pool appeared clean - we walked past it several times to get to our vehicle. Never swam.
GGuest UserThis is a hotel to stay at, it's a hidden gem, I called and made a reservation for my family coming in from out of town. check-in was at 3 so it was definitely great I received a text that my room was ready and waiting for me 2 hours before a very nice check-in. its location was perfect between Santa Cruz and Monterey. Can't go wrong.
Jjoy gLocation was horrible. I finally found it from the freeway, no signage at exit, and had to go a mile or more past hotel sighting to turn around. Arrial was on a dead end street and into a trucking lot, scary. Nine pm arrival and gal at front was friendly. Room was ok and clean, but kind of old. Breakfast was next to nothing, not replenished and had to ask for the coffee. Again, it was clean, but creepy. When I saw the outside in the daylight, I knew I'd never go back.
