The White House
泰泰迪小熊Came here on September 22, 2017.
I heard that the White House has not been open to the public since 9/11. When we went there, we could only watch it from a distance outside the fence, so the White House became a boring landmark. We took a tourist check-in photo to end our visit.
There is a big pine tree on the south side of the White House. I didn’t expect it to be a "landmark" as well, the "National Christmas Tree"... Well, it seems that we should choose to visit during Christmas.
United States Capitol
泰泰迪小熊Came here on September 21, 2017.
As the saying goes, "It is better to travel ten thousand miles than to read ten thousand books." Only after visiting the U.S. Capitol in person and taking the time to learn about the relevant knowledge can you have a more correct understanding of many details.
The reason why the U.S. Capitol is called "Capitol Hill" is because its name Capitol comes from Capitolium, one of the seven hills in Rome. This is the highest of the seven hills and an important political and religious center at the beginning of the founding of Rome. It has the same root as the capital (capital), and is used to name the country's political center, which has a very good meaning.
The Capitol is a neoclassical building with a beautiful and grand style. It is centered on the rotunda, with the Senate in the north wing and the House of Representatives in the south wing. The public can visit for free and even listen to the proceedings of the two houses, but they need to apply in advance and the number of places is limited.
Due to time constraints, we just walked around outside and took photos and checked in, but it was not a loss. After all, the building itself is very beautiful, and it is very photogenic from all angles. There are so many places worth seeing in Washington, saving time.
National Gallery of Art
陌陌染MMThe National Art Gallery is located in Washington, DC and is managed by the Smiths Association. The building itself is divided into two buildings, with underground passages that can be connected or across the road from the ground, and a sculpture park is also included. Museum visits are free and are closed on Sundays. Originally, it was a pity to find that the Leonardo's real artifact was not open. There are more than 40,000 products in the entire pavilion, from the Middle Ages to the modern era, oil paintings, sculptures, prints, sketches and so on. It takes about an hour to visit here, there is a coffee shop inside, you can take a map to see the specific location.
Union Station
Ppalettes_nyWashington's Grand Central Station is not only an important train station in DC, but also a popular tourist attraction. Built in 1908, the station is a classic French building. It is also the headquarters of Amtrak and the second busiest train station. The exterior of the entire building is full of retro atmosphere. Columbus Circle is in front of the station. The interior of the station is also very distinctive. Even if you don't come here to take a train, it is worth visiting. There are various murals inside the station, which are super unique.
Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum
水水漫三楼The National Air and Space Museum is large in scale, covering all aspects of aerospace history since the invention of the airplane by the Wright brothers, including gliders, aircraft, airplanes, transport planes, passenger planes, rockets, planetary probes, spacecraft, and artificial satellites. It also displays high-speed racing cars and motorcycles, capturing the vastness of the sky and space and the passion of speed. The gift shop also has a variety of shelves that attract many people's attention.
National Mall
泰泰迪小熊Came on September 21, 2017. Between Capitol Hill and the Washington Monument, there is a large long green space, the National Mall of the United States, surrounded by many national museums and memorials, each venue is very interesting, a single place can be visited for half a day. If there is not enough time, it is not bad to take pictures. These buildings have different shapes, and the photos and punch cards are very popular.
Washington Monument
泰泰迪小熊I came here on September 21, 2017.
The Washington Monument is located in the center of the capital of the United States. It is about 169 meters high and is shaped like an ancient Egyptian obelisk. It is tall, eye-catching, beautiful and generous. It is a very outstanding landmark.
There is a large lawn around the monument, where you can sit casually. During the epidemic, tens of thousands of Americans died of the disease. At that time, everyone planted a small white flag for each deceased person to express condolences, which was also on this lawn. It can be seen how big this lawn is.
Because the monument is very tall, you need to walk far away from the monument to take a check-in photo. You can sit and take photos on the edge of the high platform where the monument is located. It would be better to take photos at dusk. Sitting on the west side of the monument, facing the sunset, the sunlight is softer and the colors will be better.

Lincoln Memorial
泰泰迪小熊Came here on September 22, 2017.
The Lincoln Memorial is located at the west end of the central axis of Washington, facing the Capitol Hill at the east end. The midpoint between the two is the Washington Monument, which shows how high President Lincoln's status is in the United States.
The Lincoln Memorial is a typical Greek-style building. It is said to commemorate his contribution to American democracy by liberating black slaves. The origin of Western democracy is Greece, and this style similar to the ancient Greek temple can also reflect Lincoln's greatness.
There is no other attraction in the memorial hall, just take photos and check in. There is a small souvenir shop in the memorial hall, which is quite good to buy. You can go shopping.
