I brought my mom for her 75th birthday. It was our second time staying there (1st time being April 2017 with my two brothers and also my mom). Jumping Shrimp was a major disappointment, as I never did get to try out their shrimp and grits. The coffee bar in our room wasn’t stocked, which my mother quickly reminded me of. We stayed here for five nights for a family beach vacation. You check in the plaza and go across the street to the motel. The parking garage entrance is in between the outdoor pool and Sweet Frog. The staff was friendly but they seem overwhelmed with all the customers. We booked the 2 queen bed suite. I thought the couch was a pull out bed but it wasn't. It is just a love seat. The ac on the living room side worked but the ac on the bed side was broken. They put a plug in fan on that side. The temperature was in the triple digits for that week so not having ac was killer. My husband let them know and they sent the maintenance man but he said he couldn't fix it and that at least the air worked on the other side. Half the lights don't work. The beds are not comfortable and there was already sand in the sheets when we arrived. There were 2 bathrooms in the room! That was a surprise because it doesn't say that in the description online. That was nice to have a separate bathroom for the kids and adults. The outdoor pool is nice to cool off but it is dirty. The inside pool had such a strong chlorine smell that we only went there once. The gym is small and half the equipment was broken and didn't work. It also has a strong weird smell. The location is nice. The motel is on the side with all the shops and stores so you can just walk. You only have to walk across the street and go through the main hotel to get to the boardwalk and beach. Bottom line is you get what you pay for. If you want something cheap and close to the beach and you don't mind a basic motel then this is doable.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Exterior is older looking but the rooms are very nice. Beds are super comfy with lots of fluffy pillows. Hotel is close to Highway 13 and Bay Bridge Tunnel. There are lots of restaurants near by. Also loved the convenience of text check in and out. And the staff give you a goodie bag at check in for a welcome touch.

The hotel staff were really nice and helpful! Our room was very nice. The breakfast was very good, I just wish they had bacon and/or sausage links/patties.

My friends and I stayed there this weekend. It was fabulous!! The food was a little too healthy for my style but still tasty. The service was great at check in and they let us do a late check out. I would recommend this resort.

The hotel is beautiful. Open floor plan with up to date designs. The staff was friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out. I stayed in a King with a partial ocean view and city view. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. I would definitely return again.

Shower nozzle came off a couple times, NO hot water the majority of the time, put in room for a person with disabilities but not needed, tub had black and pink mold around it, no trashcan in bathroom, stand for suitcase ”gnawed and wobbled badly”, a/c and ventilation did not work - called maintenance and they never showed, dried blood on the comforter, coffee maker gross and looked rusty, RATS- one came down from 2nd story balcony while we were on the patio outside the restaurant pretty sure from someone's room, no lighting on a few floors, only 1 elevator worked out of three, we used stairs the whole time and even if we needed the cart would have to go out, cross between buildings (which the ceiling was coming down between), hot tub never available as I found out the last day the ”PH balance was too high” so they closed it, ordered food from the restaurant - appetizer bacon wrapped scallops - $20 for TWO and when it came out there was a long hair on it, needless to say my appetite was lost for the evening. Ice machine didn't work except the 8th floor until 4 nights later, tiles in the floor not glued down, found a couple of those not very friendly for disabled individuals if I had been in this situation. Staff so/so depending on the function. When I went to check out I brought up my concerns and the girl at the front desk asked if I had called maintenance, which I let her know I had in fact called and they never showed. Others were complaining of carpets in their room smelling of urine - they allow pets in the hotel. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone ever.

The hotel staff was amazing just as well as the hotel. My stay was awesome!! Definitely going back!
