Great location. But professional management is missing. Hallways and elevators are not kept clean. At 7:30 one morning I stopped by the front desk asking if rooms are cleaned daily. Of course, he said. At 9pm on getting back to my room, guess what? I had no service that day. Next morning I told the desk and they were so surprised. Did I mention that one late night I tried getting in the front door but it wouldn't open? I pushed, I pulled, I knocked, I backed away and approached from a different angle. Finally a gust came out and I got in. When I told this to the front desk I was told, ”Yeah sometimes that door sticks.” Then fix it!
The room was clean and decent for the price but I was disappointed that the breakfast was extra and the pool / hot tub doesn't appear to be open. I tried visiting the pool at 10 at night and at 7:50 in the morning. Also saw guests trying to use the pool after 8 in the morning without any luck. Perhaps the hours are such that it is unavailable a lot of the time which is annoying b/c that is one of the perks of the hotel and its enclosed so you'd think they'd keep that open. Also this particular location is not the best in that It's in a crappier area of town. Some shady characters walking around the outside. Was expecting better for the price but I have stayed at much worse hotels.

Breakfast is OK, the room has a sofa bed, there is a parking lot, the location is right next to the university, it is very convenient to go to school. It should be a good hotel in Tempe.
All the rooms have now been renovated according to the cheerful front desk night attendant. We arrived very late from the airport, so were tired and got a good night’s sleep. Just a few remarks about the layout of the room. It’s great to have the sofa bed and a working/meal table plus a mini-fridge. However this leaves very little space to put your luggage and there is no dresser or closet, just a small pole at the far end of the room over a small luggage rack. I can just imagine the challenge for the couple who registered before us with 2 kids and 2 huge suitcases ! Also the bathroom entrance faces the bed and there is no door to shield the light from anybody sleeping in the bed at night. Another not so important little peeve of mine is you have to open the shower directly not through a lever when the water is warm enough, so you get a cold splash when you walk up in it to open the tap. The breakfast was decent enough, just like most hotels of this type, but everything was lukewarm, including the coffee, which was annoying. Finally, the breakfast room definitely had not been renovated and the furniture was a little worn or dirty. The elevators also made crinkly noises that made you wonder if you were going to get stuck. So all in all, it was still a good choice for a quick overnight stay after arriving at the airport (no shuttle after 10:00 p.m.) and the staff were very pleasant.
My stay at Homewood Suites in Tempe, Arizona, exceeded all expectations, thanks to the remarkable staff, with special mention to Samantha and Amanda. Their exceptional service went above and beyond, making my experience truly memorable. From the spotless room to the fantastic location, every aspect of my stay was met with enthusiasm and professionalism. I'm genuinely impressed with the entire staff, and Samantha and Amanda's dedication added an extra layer of excellence. A solid five-star recommendation for their outstanding service and hospitality.
10 to 15 minutes drive from the airport 🚗 Marriott's deputy hotel 🏨 there is a Mills Mall selling shoes in the store, there is a special IMAX
Located in the heart of Tempe, the hotel is easy to find on the main road and has convenient transportation. There are many shops, restaurants and bars within the vicinity. The service staff is very good, with car rental service, free parking, free airport shuttle bus. The rooms are large, the decoration and facilities are very good. The price is relatively moderate and the price is super good. It is a good choice for traveling abroad.
No food at this place you have to cook you4 own food or go out to eat it has nice kitchen with cook top stove comes with pots & pans a toster oven and coffee pot...Staff are nice and friendly people try to go out on a limb to help you with questions..
This review is long overdue. Had to stay here on a mission to help a family member this past summer, definitely not a vacation stay and this hotel suited our needs very well, with one exception, I'll get to that in a bit. First thing: we got in late on a Sunday night and I was really hungry, The woman working the front desk on Sunday June 27th 2021 went above and beyond to try and find food for us, even offering to go into the closed hotel kitchen to scrounge something up. Then she called several places until she found one open and helped negotiate the whole transaction, being very patient with me and my exhausted brain failures. When she did secure a food delivery, told me to go on up to the room and she would deal with the delivery driver. I've gotten less help at a 5 star hotel, this person seemed to have genuine concern for us and I failed completely in that I didn't tip her (so tired I forgot, sorry!) and didn't even get her name to mention her here. I assumed I'd see her again. Hope she somehow sees this review, so grateful for the help. Beyond that the hotel had a fantastic lobby, good clean modern design all over with cooler colors in the rooms, comfortable beds, good room layout, clean, nice bathroom. Very reasonably priced. We only had one problem in a week long stay, one night some very loud people stayed in the next room, at least 4 or 5 people going in and out all night and talking super loud. Couldn't figure out if the walls were really thin or if the people were just louder than average humans, probably both, but leaning on the people being especially loud. Given the proximity to the university, this type of thing is to be expected really, and I don't actually blame the hotel, it's just something to be aware of. The front desk were helpful in the matter in that they were willing to tell us those people weren't booked for another night, but if we continued to have problems we could let them know, so hotel staff did what they could. All in all for the very good price I was satisfied with our stay, it was nearly perfect for our needs and that Sunday night desk person was an absolute life saver.

GGuest UserWas really surprised with the area. It was in a really nice location there is a market place 10 minutes away with so much to do it was really clean, the room almost looked like it had never been used as some appliances still had wrapping on them. Would choose this hotel again. Checkin was fast, employee even showed us the best way to get to our concert venue and reminded us about the free breakfast.
GGuest UserA basic choice as the name would imply however a solid one. It's clean, functional and everything the brand offers with plenty of parking. Conveniently situated next to main roads for most things Phoenix related. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly enough and they managed my deliveries of parcels very well indeed. Overall it's not a romantic gateway but a well managed practicle choice.
GGuest UserGreat place to stay at near ASU. Amazing rooftop bar that is amazing to watch the sunset.
Will definitely stay there again next time we are is Phoenix.
Rrocky380vI absolutely love the location and stay here every time I come to Tempe. It’s so conveniently located with a Whole Foods at the base of the building, a movie theater a few blocks away and a handful of local delicious restaurants. The checkin process is so seamless and we love the amenities included in the building. Can’t wait to come back!
SSergio Dominic DominguezVery great hotel to stay at especially if you're gonna be there for college or just if you want to spot with everything around it without having to travel so many miles location in the middle of downtown Tempe next to the stadium yeah shopping areas all around you food city of food city pizza places you got Safeway down the street and clean the sport shops and everything food and name it it's there
GGuest UserWe stay at Hilton properties across the country. We have stayed in Scottsdale for years. This was our first time in Tempe. We were thrilled with our stay. This was a first time traveling with my hubby on Peritoneal Dialysis. The portable machine flew with us but all do.unions- there were boxes and boxes were delivered directly to the hotel. When we arrived, the hotel staff had all the boxes in our suite. We had terrific communication with Maria, Sami Erin before and during our stay. What terrific ambassadors they are. The breakfast was lovely. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Carm was just wonderful. We love pool time. The pool was clean. Just wished there was bar service at the pool. We have already booked our next stay there.
DDavidI loved staying here because the rooms have balconies, So I'm to drink a glass of wine and watch the sunset. Also is very quiet I enjoy staying here
CcynthiasonyAdvantages: Very simple free breakfast, free laundry. Disadvantages: 1. After taking a shower in the middle of the night, I found that the hair dryer was broken, and the hotel did not have a spare hair dryer. Later, I coordinated to blow dry my hair in another room because the hair dryer was fixed to the wall and could not be moved. 2. The front desk was understaffed and often empty. The service of the girls at the front desk was very good, and the boys were average. The new Indian front desk spoke with a heavy accent, and I could not understand him at all and could not communicate.
GGuest UserThe staff here is great. Great customer service! Very attentive to the customer needs. Rooms are clean and smells good. Overall good experience. Kiddos to Veronica, Chase, and Miranda for their amazing service. Thank you all!
