I am an airline pilot based in Charleston SC. There were no crew houses available when I arrived so I have been staying at the Cambria hotel in Summerville off and on for about 6 months. The staff here and my stay has been OUTSTANDING. I don't say that lightly. As part of my job I travel all over the world and obviously this involves spending lots and lots of time in hotels. I spend more time in hotels than I do at my own home which is on the other side of the country. I've seen good hotels and bad hotels. But this one tops the good list and by far. The rooms are clean. The area is safe. There is even a walking trail out back and bikes to rent. The restaurant has even made me special meals on request. The bar at night is a great place to socialize and the bartender, Ivory, has gone out of her way to make me feel welcome. Gabriella and her staff in housekeeping have made sure I have clean sheets and towels and go out of their way to make sure I have them whenever I need them. And my rooms are spotless. The staff have treated me with great respect and made sure my every need is met. From Ivory the bartender to Gabriela the head of house cleaning to Ayanna the general manager, they have gone out of their way to make me feel welcome with a home away from home. As you can imagine, traveling as much as I do makes it hard to stay in hotels. But not here. I feel very comfortable here and welcome. Everyone has made sure I have the best stay while I am here. I don't have a single complaint about my stay. I've yet to hear any other guest have a complaint either. Everyone I speak with has been very complimentary of the hotel. It's small and not a big name like Hilton but that makes it all the better and makes it more like a temporary home than a business transaction. You won't find a better hotel to stay here in Summerville or Charleston.
The hotel accommodations were outstanding early checkin and late checkout were great ....Sheba the front desk representative was a professional and had some jokes to share . The morning breakfast at the hotel really hit the spot to start our day . Homewood Suites stay in Summerville at 406 Sigma was awesome .

I don't often stay at Marriott properties and I was hoping to have a good experience. This was not the case. I always do my research and check the reviews before staying at a property. With this place being one of the leading properties in the area, I felt it would be a good choice. Nope. I'll just get to the point. The cleanliness of our room was sub par. Obvious wear and tear around the room, there was soap scum/grime on the sink faucet, the bathtub looked very worn, there was very little toilet paper on the roll, the beds were not comfortable, the pillows were very flat, the TV was small and not centered in the room, the fridge barely kept anything cold at all, and there was no complimentary breakfast. Not in the least impressed. Won't be coming back.
Nice newer hotel, good bed & pillows for a goods night sleep before work. Bldg & grounds were nice, didn't notice anything out of order. A bit noisy on the backside as it faces US Hwy 78. Must have been drag race night for motorcycles....no fault of the hotel. Breakfast was a bit sparse, but thanks to covid at least they did have it. Check in / Out was easy. Only issue I had was the sound of a ”drip”...wasn't my faucets. Sounded as though something was dripping either on the restroom vent fan duct. Hopefully that can be isolated if it is a drip to not cause damage.

SStaci HI am not a person who complains on people bc I know we all have our days and a lot going on in life that others aren’t aware of. So I will tell the good first… I have had to stay here for several months while my home has been renovated. I am a single mom to an amazing 4 year old boy who is on the Autism Spectrum who has been here with me 90% of the time. I have been extremely welcomed from the moment we moved in. The new GM actually walked outside to help me move some things inside. She was a wonderful experience. Everyone here has been nothing but amazing! Smiling faces, helpful, and extremely supportive and understanding of my son’s disability. With the exception of one person. I never right complaints, but I feel some people just aren’t a “people person” and it is very obvious in their daily actions. The front desk manager, Christina, has always been very quiet and has always seemed just disinterested in being here. I she is the only person I’ve seen that works here, that really doesn’t seem to work. She is constantly on her phone and I have had to wait for assistance until she finishes whatever she has going on with her phone, to get assistance. And when she does, she seems irritated and very short. Never smiles. Does not make you feel welcomed. I honestly try to stay in my room when she is at the desk. I try to avoid her. I will tell you the main reason why. With my son being on the spectrum, he had a meltdown in the hallway in the middle of the day. When we got to the front desk to buy him a snack, which is our daily routine, she held the snack from him that I already paid for, and bribed him with it saying “I’ll give you your snack but you have to be quiet. I heard you all the way up here from your room”. I was flabbergasted. I explained to her that he was in the hallway and not in our room and this isn’t a usual occurrence. Another time my sons grandparents stopped by to give him his Birthday Gifts and we stayed in the lobby for about 45 minutes to an hour. There was no one here or in the lobby but us. She continuously huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes at us as if we were a nuisance. I have never been treated so poorly by someone who is a manager, and the face of an establishment. She is the first face you are met with when walking in the door. I will never stay here again as long as she is here. There are some other things I was not happy about but I am only mentioning the biggest issues with me.
GGuest UserThe service was acceptable. The room was in the front of the motel and the outside lights shown all nite and the black out curtains did not draw so it was like daylight in the room.
The bathroom had no vent to take out the humidit,. the room was cold, (the temperature was in the low 2Os outside) I had to use the hair dryer to warm it up. Threre was no Kleenex, no hear lamp.
I choose Country Inn because of their rating and I was very disappointed.I I could not call this a positive experience and doubt I will encourage anyone to use Country Inn and Suites.
The highlight was in the am. Mary was a true delight and very helpful. Please tell her so.
