I love the Country Inn and will stay there when I can, ever since the chain remodel a decade or so ago. I showed up very early but the desk person checked me in with no bother. The room was typical for the chain, spacious, well-laid-out, and immaculate. I’d been on the road for a week or so (motorcycle trip) so took advantage of the guest laundry facilities which I know I can find at every CI&S. There was a convenience store and Mexican take-out place next door, so in my tired state I didn’t have to go searching for food and refreshments. In short, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly.

SS6302LWbobhIn spite of requesting a ground floor room, I was assigned a room on the top floor. At check-in, I was told that it was too late to do anything about it because they were fully booked. Note that I was checking in at the earliest possible time and there was a line of people checking in behind me, so there were probably many people that hadn't yet checked in that hadn't made a ground floor request and for whom it wouldn't have mattered. Too make matters worse, there are no elevators, so if you're assigned an upper floor room and have a lot of heavy bags as we needed for our trip, you're going to be lugging them up multiple flights of stairs.
