Stay at another motel in town, first night got up next morning and checkout of it wasn’t a good place was able to check in early at Comfort Inn.Man behind the counter was so nice. Location is right in main part of the restaurant area walking distance all them. The pool was perfect always had it to our self so peaceful. If you’re in the area 5 stars stay.
We've stayed at many Muscatine hotels over the years for family visits. This time we experimented with Priceline and drew the Fairfield. Even the rack rate would have been worth it. It was a really nice hotel. Let's get the negatives out of the way..... -Check In: The check in process itself was no problem at all. It was raining a little hard when we arrived. What was kind of inconvenient is that almost every hotel I've stayed at has some kind of overhang at the front door so you can unload your car without getting drenched in bad weather. This Fairfield doesn't have one of these. -Pool area: Definitely needs improving. Obviously you can't enlarge the pool itself which was a little small. There were always plenty of towels available and when they were running low, the staff was always bringing more in to keep it stocked. The one main problem with the pool area was that there were SEVERAL ants all over the pool tables and chairs. A couple visits from the Orkin man would take care of that so I wasn't that bothered by them. Now for the positives..... :) -Rooms: We had a double queen room on the top floor. Even though an amateur/college baseball team was on the same floor, we never had noise problems. The doors locked like they should. Room temperature was always good. Nice big television (that has a USB input). Bathroom was great and clean. And pillows....LOTS of pillows!! Each bed had FIVE (5) big pillows on a very comfortable bed. -Breakfast: The usual hotel fare. Nothing to compliment or complain about. Misc comments: Overall, a nice hotel. More than one ice machine would be nice (only on first floor). WIFI was always good (you have to sign up each dsay). If you're a Taco Bell person, there is one right across the parking lot. We'll be visiting again.
First of all, it is all about expectations. We needed a place to sleep about 6 hours a night, with a working shower, A/C and clean linens and the Super 8 Muscatine delivered. We didn't spend much time there or check out the breakfast, but very reasonable rate for a place to sleep.

Under normal circumstances Hampton Inns or guarantee one of the better hotels you can go to but it seems that staff runs the house now, When I arrived I was told the staff only cleans when you leave and if you need something please call and someone will get it for you. I have no problem with that until I ask and they can’t bring up the coffee packet and I could go down to get it because there is no one to bring. No problem but when I get there and they tell me they don’t have any I am a bit mad. They could have saved me a trip by telling me earlier. Sherry L. 4-27-22
