So I’m going to give them a 5 out of 5, but let me explain. My wife went to Idylwild to escape and enjoy nature. Before checking my wife and I went on a long hike and we were exhausted. We were given the room and coffee to get in prior to checkin. We got to the room and it was not yet cleaned, I was beside myself. I called the number that I was texted the information and Angel answered right away. I told him that our room wasn’t yet cleaned and he apologized profusely and said he’d be there in 2 minutes. He was there in 2 minutes and said he would personally clean the room and it would be ready in 20 minutes. It was an honest mix up and they didn’t have the room on the list for that day. I don’t believe it happens often or ever before. Angel cleaned our room and brought us a 6 pack of beer because we were exhausted, hot, and just wanted a beer. I think he gave it to us from his own stash! We finally got into our room, nice and clean, the room and the hotel were very charming! We’re thinking of hosting our Grandmothers 100 Birthday there! Great place, great service, friendly staff! Definitely coming back!
If you love wood cabins, this is your spot. It’s a kitschy time warp back to the 50s or 60s, which I like. It’s also by the side of the main road in and out of town which is both convenient and a little noisy at times but bearable. It gets cold at night and so has heaters in the room and which take some figuring out but once they get going do the job (one was sufficient although we like it cool – it got to 9C in April). I thought the second bed would be a bit larger as I think it said two full beds but it was in fact a full and a double. The back view is onto a wooded ravine and stream with a nice little deck. There’s a tiny kitchen area and table as well. The bathroom is smallish but not as small as some I’ve had in Europe, so if you’re European, you’ll find it fine. I picked up a couple of beer bottles out back which were spoiling the view. Breakfast consisted of a donut (deep-fried) or large cookie, apple, box juice and maybe oatmeal packets – packed in a charming basket left on your door. The coffee maker worked well, as others have noted (an absolute essential). Staff were friendly too. All in all, a nice place but keep in mind there are also over 300 private rentals in Idyllwild apparently.

We had a great birthday weekend getaway! Pro’s: House was updated and had plenty of towels and amenities. There was a nice large private patio with tables and chairs. Three rooms (2 bunk, 1 queen, 1 king) were plenty big for our group of 6 (3 adults, 3 teens). The pool was refreshing and pool towels were provided. Food delivery to the pool was quick and delicious. My kids had a blast in the rec room playing pool and other games. It was in the high 80’s low 90’s while we were there and we were SOO grateful for the air conditioning-which is not an easy thing to find in mountain community lodging! The not-so-pro’s: While the pool was refreshing and nice, the addition of a jacuzzi would have provided more of the resort feeling. The house was clean and spacious, but is in desperate need of a second bathroom or even half bath. There were 6 of us staying plus an additional 2 family members who came to visit. An en-suite in the primary would have been more useful than a massive walk-in closet. It’s loud! A few area rugs and art to absorb some of the echo would benefit the space. A few of the doors stuck pretty bad opening and closing them even while trying to be careful was impossible. All in all we would definitely stay here again. Just know you are a bit far from the town center but I think the trade off is worth it!
All Dad wanted was a pool to hang out in for the weekend. I did my research and it paid off! Even though some comments made the pool sound ”not that great” ...it was! The online pictures don't do it justice! It's BIG, clean, only 5' deep total so you can walk across! Plenty of chairs and umbrellas, just really pretty and fun! Music playing at just the right sound. Pool bar food good and fast delivery.
Palm Springs hotels are lower in price. Palm Springs hotels are basically in the form of hotels because they are closer to Los Angeles and the housing prices are generally very high. Especially on weekends, they are basically 1000+. This hotel can park for free. As our transit station to Redeem Mountain and Ole is good, we just sleep a bit, the rooms are average and the health is average. If you rest overnight instead of coming to vacation, this hotel is OK of
The hotel is only on the side of the road. The road is not busy, so it is not noisy. It is very easy to find with Google Maps. It is actually the most common two-storey motel in the United States. The environment is not bad. It is surrounded by palm trees and has free on-site parking. There is a swimming pool, warm front desk service, complete room facilities, TV, refrigerator, microwave, gourmet coffee machine, no kettle (like a microwave oven), air conditioner refrigerator is very noisy, American hotel hotels do not provide disposable toothbrush slippers. The breakfast room is very small, three tables, 7-9 o'clock, weekend to 10 o'clock, not many varieties (eggs, sliced bread, homemade waffles, cereal milk, coffee, soda, apple), but there is absolutely no problem to eat. The room has a balcony with a coffee table chair, and the big bed parents have a child to live without stress. As a self-driving tour stop, it is still very good, value for money!
The entire hotel staff made me feel very welcomed to the property. I felt very much at home. Alec always goes out of his way to ensure I'm happy. The entire property has a terrific vibe, and it's definately a diverse crowd. All are welcome!
Hotel cost-effective. The boss DAN is not bad. The car tires were rented, and DAN helped to contact the car rental company repeatedly. I quickly changed the spare tires. I went to the airport to change a new car. Also introduced to the surrounding play projects and delicious restaurants around.
