I stayed here with my border collie adventuring over the weekend of the 4th, and was so comfortable I stayed another night. Riverton has got everything you need, nice little town, and I could spend another month exploring the park and lake and canyon. This is the second-most expensive hotel of two chains in town, a hundred bucks cheaper than the new one next door though - you should stay here instead. The location is on the end of town where it's quiet, and there's plenty of room to walk your dog. It's a quick walk across the parking area to a convenience store and food. (Drive to La Luna for Mexican though!) The hotel is being renovated but the annoyances were very minor. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was fantastic - they had a little trouble with the computer when I checked in, so my stay was discounted the first night. The housekeepers were very professional and helpful, and you could tell they worked as a team and appreciated each other. It was quiet and easy to sleep. I don't know when I'll be back this way but - I'd stay here again.

The hotel is a bit old, but basically it is not bad, the moving line of the room is not very good, a little distance from the elevator, need to go around a big circle. Breakfast is very good, it is the best holiday Inn series hotel to live recently.

The hotel sits nestled between the Wind River Mountain Range, Absaroka and Owl Creek Mountain Range, and is the Gateway to Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton Mountains. We have standard rooms and studio suites. Each room features a 32" flat panel LCD TV. Rooms include phones with data port access, free high speed internet access, clock radios, free local calls, no surcharge for using a calling card, a coffee maker, an iron and ironing board, the Cloud 9 bed-The Hampton Experience, indoor pool, hot tub, fitness center with state of the art equipment, and a business center. The room selection is varied. There are rooms available in the small lodge itself, but most of the rooms are cabins around the main building. Some have a shared wall with another cabin, which is what I had, and some are single cabins with no shared walls. Price is reasonable. I paid less than $150 total. You can hear car doors outside and occasionally talking, but inside the room was quiet. Although I was aware that there was someone in the room next to me, but there were no loud noises or talking that I could hear, and having a quiet room is important to me. So no complaints. The room was exceptionally clean. There is no breakfast, like you would get at a hotel, but at the same time, you are paying less too. The bed was a little bouncy, but it was comfortable. Service was good. The town of Dubois was a pleasant walk exploring it.

SSharon GWe loved this place! It was close enough to restaurants, main street attractions and shopping to walk most places. Our room was on the back side close to the Popo Agie River. Beautiful! Coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron, etc. all in the room. The breakfast room was small but had a good variety of breakfast items. There is a restaurant across the parking lot which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Excellent! Downsides: no comfy chair in the room. Instead, there was a table with 3 chairs. The toilet was low to the floor and the faucets were very tight making it hard to turn them on and off and to adjust the temperature of the water. The Lodge is close to a busy intersection and sometimes it was difficult to get out of the parking lot.
